I mean still... $90 added to a $299 console is really not horrible. And that's only for people who are going to go over the 256GB mark. Maybe some, but idk, works for me.
That game is the exception, not the rule. 2K games is notorious for not optimizing anything lol
If the console comes in at a base price of $299, a 1TB SD add-on is justified.
Honestly, everything I wanted in a Switch 2 is here. More I/O, better joycon support, larger screen. I'm sure there are improvements on the dock as well. hoping there's more *invisible* improvements such as decreased input latency. Default is 4 frames (60fps) right now which is rough.
I understand the sentiment, however it's just how YouTube algorithm works. Title that doesn't hit some specific beats, just gets buried, and this project survives on its visibility. Look past the title and it's something I have worked very diligently on.
This is a common thing I'm hearing, but it's one of those "you have to try it" type of things. The split dpad is very intentional and thought-out (and open source).
The dpad is designed to work with the original part, or the new split design.
It's apples to oranges really. There's no dividing plastic barrier, the size is more compact here. This new design works remarkably well and it doesn't compare well to any of Sony's offerings
Yes it's bare, intentionally so. It's a design preference, and meant to be customizable!
Retro Fighters GC stuff exists yes but this fits into an adjacent category
- Not original shape
- Triggers do not match original GameCube function (dual-stage press)
- No Bluetooth (need 1 dongle per...
That's why I created the split DPad design, it works really well for the size while maintaining compatibility with the original part.
There is a lot of people, who still for whatever reason prefer the original DPad setup.
Basically, no plans to make a larger DPad for now, I really do think the...
I would consider the software protected and not necessarily proprietary. Individual bits of the code I've had no issue people using as reference or even to improve their own projects. I explicitly chose that license as I wanted to protect someone downloading the firmware as is, and selling it. I...
Hi I'm Mitch, I designed the controller ^^ Everything. The PCB, firmware, configuration app, shell, buttons, brackets, everything on this design has been painstakingly crafted by yours truly.
In some regards it will be closer to what you'd find from an unboxed, brand new GameCube controller...
Speaking of money, I have a builder that owes me money and not paying, trying to hide from me, so I found his wife's car and put a lien on it last week, today got a check in the mail from him, lol.
