    External Harddrives that Don't Require a Y-Cable

Update for anyone needing this as well. Currently running the exact same set up as @BigJon, down to the USB-C cable. The hard drive looks great with a white cable and white box matching the Wii. Running Wiiflow with FAT32 and 32kb clusters, this is what I'm getting in terms of performance: •...

Hacking Homebrew Others Pc is not recognize psvita on usb

Here's how you can know 'for sure': Open Device Manager in Windows. Then, open the bottom category and remember what's listed there. Then, plug in your PS Vita via USB. On the top, click Action -> Scan for Hardware Changes. If you notice a new entry on the list, even if it's a "Unknown USB...

Hacking Homebrew Others Pc is not recognize psvita on usb

That is not what that means, Vitashell always says that. You can test this yourself by plugging your Vita into a charging wall socket, and then press "Select". You will see Vitashell says "USB Connected" despite it being plugged into an electrical charging socket. Like I said, if it's not in...

Hacking Homebrew Homebrew app Vita infinite boot loop after installing UDCD-UVC

Does your Vita boot when you hold L at startup? YES ------> When you hold L at startup, it launches the Vita with all plugins disabled. NO-------> This boot loop is not caused by any plugin. If YES, if you erase the folder "tai" from ur0: and "tai" from ux0:, then you have ERASED ALL PLUGINS...

Hacking Homebrew Homebrew app Vita infinite boot loop after installing UDCD-UVC

When you don't hold L, your Vita won't get to the home screen, right? When you hold L, your Vita boots, but, all homebrew is removed, right? You can't remove the plugin without homebrew, so there's nothing you can do to remove it, to get it to turn on without L. So, while you have held down L...

Hacking Homebrew Others Pc is not recognize psvita on usb

The cable the PS Vita uses, a Micro-USB cable, comes in different types despite having the same connector and despite successfully charging. For example, my PS4 controller only works with the Micro-USB cables it came with, despite another Micro-USB both A) fitting correctly and B) charging. So...

Can anyone confirm they also are experiencing this issue (Using WebMAN Mod)

Over in this thread: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/webman-display-game-list-directly-in-xmb.41585/ I really need someone else to confirm they are having the same issue. Would anyone else be kind enough to confirm that they are experiencing the same issue with WebMan?

Hacking Homebrew Homebrew app Vita infinite boot loop after installing UDCD-UVC

You're supposed to hold L at startup. Does it boot then? You said: "Holding down the L button on startup doesn't show the Henkaku settings in the settings app, and I can't seem to access the ur0 folder in Windows 11 file explorer." You can use the full access to ur0 provided by the VitaShell...

After the crash, put it in a Windows PC and run a "Scan for Errors". See if it says "Windows has found errors on the drive and repaired them". Then go into Folder Options and check the box for "Show Hidden System Files" Then go into the root of your Hard drive and see the folder called...

Hacking Homebrew Homebrew app Vita infinite boot loop after installing UDCD-UVC

UPDATE: Was in the same situation and my previous reply didn't actually work. Easy fix for this situation: https://psvitamod.com/vitashell/ A plugin stopped my Vita powering, couldn't turn on without holding L which removes Vitashell with no way to remove the plugin. Henkaku.xyz in the browser...

Hacking Homebrew Homebrew app Vita infinite boot loop after installing UDCD-UVC

Create a blank text file and name it "config.txt" and place it in a folder "tai" in ux0. Then when you boot it will override the one in ur0 and you won't need to hold L so you will be able to access VitaShell and remove the one from ur0.

    How to edit mygames.xml?

Found the solution and putting it here for others: 1. Changes to mygames.xml only apply if all of your games are inside the WebMan Games folder, it doesn't work directly in the XMB. 2. There is a way to scan games so they always show the SFO title on an external NTFS. Install prepISO from the...

    External Harddrives that Don't Require a Y-Cable

Thanks for this and thanks @k0walski for helping me out in this thread, telling me whether or not things match power consumption. I was going to go with the Western Digital 1TB since I can get it locally, but, since hearing this post above, hearing that the 2TB from 2016 worked, yet my 2TB...

    How to edit mygames.xml?

Only a few, it's probably because the titles are inside Param.SFO files which are inside .ISO files on an NTFS External Drive, so WebMan can't read them all and just scans about half. Even so, I'm trying to bypass all that, to just edit the names in mygames.xml directly. But how do you edit...

    How to edit mygames.xml?

PSN games don't have file names, they always display the PARAM.SFO title. Both folder games and ISO format display a 50/50 file name or PARAM.SFO title.

    How to edit mygames.xml?

Hello, When scanning with WebMan, it will 50/50 show the file name and 50/50 show the param.sfo title. So, I'm trying to fix it manually. I have my plugin memory maxed and PARAM.SFO title checked. 1. I put mygames.xml into XML formatter. 2. Edit the name of a game and put it back in...

    External Harddrives that Don't Require a Y-Cable

So, after I fried my first Wii hard drive by plugging the wrong power volts into a powered hub, and the hard drive smelled like burning, I bought a fresh 1TB Toshiba, which did work well in the Wii with a Y-Cable, however when trying to connect it with a non-powered USB Hub to also connect the...

Hacking Homebrew Others Pc is not recognize psvita on usb

It could be caused by a plugin on your Vita, like UDCD or any plugin that uses the USB connection. Otherwise, you said you installed a driver as well as QCMA (the open source alternative to CMA). Well, it could be a bug with the unofficial QCMA or the driver wherever you got it. You can use...
