    YouTubing Journey

I'm trying this thing out, making creative videos, for now mostly gaming, but it could grow on to other creative forms. I'll be updating this entry with all my videos I upload; I would prefer making separate entries but since Blogs is almost like the Forum with the same rules and 'over-posting'...

    I respectfully disagree.

To be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering...

Replacing the thermal pads on an RTX 3080

So this is something I was working on, not because it takes a long time to do it but because getting the necessary products takes a long time, shipping and all that. Not many of you may know this but the 3080 and 3090 (not sure of the other below models) have very high VRAM temperatures. They...

Nice design, should make life easier for cleaning the nozzle before printing. Have you made some starting Gcode to make it automatic?

@The Real Jdbye Ah I see, great. Also, I just printed another Benchy with 1 more millimeter of retraction and got next to no stringing!

Back to that Benchy you posted, other than the lack of stringing, what is better about that print compared to mine? Looking at mine I don't see any issues.

I'll try to buy a Hatchbox filament when I get the chance in the future.

Yeah I figured I had to switch filaments with only one extruder, but people do it anyways, might be something fun to try sometime. That benchy does look good. I did reach out on Reddit and the Thingiverse group for the Anycubic i3 Mega, while I got many responses and tried everything they...

Very nice regardless, I've yet to try two colours or more.

I decided to do a Benchy anyway and it came out great, only minor stringing in one area, no idea what caused it.

Wasn't meant to be literal, and maybe? It is cheap for a 3D printer, I think it was around $200, but yeah I guess that is a sum of money.

If that's a good result then I'm happy, I'll try a few prints and see how it goes. :)

@The Real Jdbye Very good point lol, didn't think if I would actually experience these in other prints. Do you have anything in mind I could print that has a decent amount of retractions and not something like a stress test? I would do Benchy but if you got pretty bad stringing then I should try...

Comment by 'Jiehfeng' in '3D Printer arrived today!'

@The Real Jdbye Yeah I did use the settings given in the manual in the OP, I've tried those with the retraction tests but they still had stringing. I think even though there doesn't seem to be any stringing in the OP, if I had printed a retraction test then I would get the same result. The...

@The Real Jdbye Yeah just a camera glitch, came out perfectly: Everything about the printer is just right, it's just this damn stringing issue, otherwise it's a perfectly good and working printer. Could it really be the settings or am I missing something crucial somehow? Should I try all...

@The Real Jdbye I didn't notice any wobbling when I was closely inspecting the printing, maybe I should just print a non stringing test to see how it goes, then I can be sure if there's such a problem. Do you have anything in mind maybe I could print? A cube?

Ok so I tried that particular test, still getting the stringing sadly, but there seems to be no wobble? https://i.imgur.com/WCwepyN.jpg

Actually, comparing both, the successful old print seems to be a lot bigger actually, maybe that's why it worked? I think it is a slightly different test. In any case my printer should be able to do this one successfully too. I think I found the old test, it is probably this one...
