I disagree. SXOS mounts xci files, so it is perfectly fine to have them on the sdcard. I do use a USB HDD for when i am docked.

Do yourself a favour and use 'NSC Builder'. Then you can slipstream updates & DLC into the xci file. Much cleaner and easier.
Look up 'NSC Builder' to update your games. It slipstreams it into the xci or nsp.
I am running 3.0.5 with 10.2 on emunand and it is not buggy for me at all. I have a v1 switch so not sure if that's why.
