Hacking GBA Flashcards - What's the best ?

In terms of sheer quality, you should look into an Everdrive GBA X5. It's a fantastic flash cart that's got nearly 100% compatibility with only games like Warioware and Botkai The Sun is In Your Hand being incompatible since those games had weird extra bits (sun sensor, gyroscope, etc.). Now...

Hacking Am I Safe to Upgrade to B9S?

According to my Luma boot menu I'm on 7.0.4, but I installed al9h years ago when the 3ds guide site launched, so I wouldn't recommend messing with it now. At the time I installed luma 6.something though and was updating it until I stopped getting updates, so make of that what you will.

Hacking Am I Safe to Upgrade to B9S?

So to clarify, I'm on 11.8 right but had al9h installed way back when it was new. The 3ds itself works perfectly fine right now and I can install/run homebrew with no issues. Is there a reason why I should be on b9s while I'm on 11.8?

Hacking Am I Safe to Upgrade to B9S?

Hey all, So I've got a n3ds that I cfw'd with Luma back when AL9H was standard. Today I booted it up and updated it to the latest version of the 3ds firmware without thinking. I went to update Luma and it told me that I needed to upgrade to B9S now since AL9H is outdated. So, am I safe to, or...

Hardware When will you get a Switch?

Personally I'm not going to be getting a switch until a game is released for it that I feel I really need to play. I didn't buy a 3ds until Pokemon ORAS came out so I'll probably follow a similar pattern with the switch.

Gaming Final Fantasy VII Battles Are Action-Based, Confirms Director Tetsuya Nomura

In fairness if you wanted to get a system just for turn based jrpgs I would hold off on the switch for a couple of years and pick up a 3ds for now if you don't already have one. There's quite a few really solid turn based games on it in all kinds of different sub genres. Give the switch some...

Gaming Final Fantasy VII Battles Are Action-Based, Confirms Director Tetsuya Nomura

Personally I'm gonna be passing on this just like I passed on the last 5 Final Fantasies. They don't feel like Final Fantasy to me anymore. The tone has gone all dark and has no self awareness to it, the art styles have gone all soulless like the majority of the AAA industry and honestly the...

Hacking Best Site to Pick Up an Everdrive?

Hey all, Hasn't been too long since I posted here but long story short I live in Canada and wanted to get my hands on an Everdrive GBA, and the official Krikzz site lists the canadian store Gamersection as an official dealer. On their site it said they were located in canada about an hour or so...

Hacking Moving from an EZ Flash to an Everdrive

Hey all, Long story short, my EZ Flash Battery died and since I don't have enough soldering skills to fix it properly it's kind of got a battery floating inside it held together with electrical tape and isn't saving reliably since the connection is a bit bad, so I bought an Everdrive GBA. It...

Gaming Transfer Pokemon from Gen 1 VC to Gen 6?

As far as I know you can bring them up from a sav file on your pc to gen 6 if you have the right tools and hardware. So, hypothetically if you were to extract your vc save and get it to the right format you should be able to do it that way. See below: Please note that you're going to need a 3ds...

    cr2025 (or cr2032) in a cr1616 gameboy cart?

In my experience they will fit but it's very tight. When you screw the cart back together it will bulge a bit but it will still fit just fine into your gba. I personally used a cr2032 as a temporary battery inside my copy of Pokemon Ruby while I was waiting for the 1616 that I ordered to come...

    Hardware Found a Strange Bootleg

I completely agree with you. There's something intriguing to me about having a rom with like 6 other games packed into it. Now the question becomes is there an effective and easily obtainable method of dumping gb carts anymore? Or did they die with the early 2000s?

    Hardware Found a Strange Bootleg

Hey all, So today I was scouring my local value village for retro games among other things, and I ended up purchasing this bootleg gb cart. I've looked around eBay and just google in general and for some reason I can't find anything about this thing. So my question for you guys is has anybody...

Hacking Flashcart for DSi ver 1.4.1u?

No worries! Hope you enjoy it :) Edit: I remembered correctly, you can load wood onto one of those. Use this version, it's far better than their default firmware and is 100% compatible. https://filetrip.net/dl?FhXOBrY7vI

Hacking Flashcart for DSi ver 1.4.1u?

I have one of these myself: http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=149 It was a bit cheaper when I bought it but regardless it does a good job of playing ds games and any homebrew I could want to stick on it. If I remember correctly it's compatible with the wood kernel as well so that's a plus...

    Hacking Bought a ez-iv gba!

If you're running a 32mb game, you can't just load it by highlighting it and hitting a, You have to write it to the NOR. To do this, you highlight it, press select and then press a. Let it copy the game and then you should be able to run it no problem. Keep in mind I think you can only have one...

    Hacking Bought a ez-iv gba!

First of all, your games must be in .gba format, which I'll assume you knew already. Your games that are showing up as folders are probably zipped or compressed as RAR files, so you're going to have to extract those. Secondly, the EZ4 doesn't work like a DS cart, or most other methods of playing...

Gaming The Inevitable Question of Game Value

Hey all, So recently I've begun rebuilding my collection of old gba games, and while I've had relative success with most of the games, the more popular things like Pokemon Emerald are giving me some trouble. I have no problems finding the games themselves, as there's quite a few in my area. My...

    Pokemon Trading: Yellow-Red

You need to have a specific cable to link GB/C games on a GBA. There's cables that are made by third parties that do this but many of the ones that are out there do not. You will most likely need to track one down that is designed with backwards compatibility in mind.

I mean, if no-one can buy a PS5, and thus is stuck with PS4 (Pros), then companies would still see some profit from developing PS4 games with PS5 upgrades; meanwhile, if they developed a PS5 game, then everyone who can't get that console won't buy that game, especially at launch.
