If you have a voltmeter, you can check the fuses around the charging port. I had a similar problem and replacing/bridging the burnt fuse fixed it.
I'd also assume WiFi, the same protocols as local Switch-Switch multiplayer. The Switch's Bluetooth wouldn't have the bandwidth to stream video.
