    I don't think you can exit config menu manually, you gotta restart the system iirc, so probably not a good solution.

    Since you have a Sky3DS, just use the Cubic Ninja exploit. Would save you the headache.

    MH4 doesn't require the latest patch to play online. Been playing with my JP New 3DS the Euorpean version, and haven't installed a single update...

    Can't say anything about MM, but I'm having no problems at all with MH4U (also EU) on my Japanese New 3DS, 2nd nub and ZR/ZL buttons are working...
