ROM Hack ninfs - FUSE filesystem Python scripts for Nintendo console files

I'd like to know why does ninfs not need a dsi cid for nand decryption? (is there something to generate it or stuff that needs it only use the consoleid to derive them?)

Homebrew Question Nsp advice: Things i should know before dealing with it?

Dump your NAND and go offline while you have the NSP installed on your switch. It's the best way to not to get banned. If you don't do that, then your kinda asking for it. And yes you're screwed if you get banned, no way to go back.

Homebrew Question Completely remove traces of installed NSP file

Yeah I know that. I was just not sure if it would be possible to delete everything manually (in theory, cause it would not be practical)

Homebrew Question Completely remove traces of installed NSP file

The only true way would be to restore a nand backup. (or maybe if you delete manually every file related to nsp, tho it is not as fast (you would need to know every single file)/might leave traces)

Hacking Atmosphere-NX - Custom Firmware in development by SciresM

No. You can look at the 2.0 release of hbl: It does support the full ram. However, you need to change the kernel caps to application (1) if not using atmosphere.

Just change the title id to an app. The changelog says that it's still compatible with applet, not that it can't use the ram from an app. You'll need to change something in the npdm if not using atmosphere for now.

So another issue was resolved (the documentation) *externally*.

Homebrew RELEASE Lakka.tv - turn your Switch into a RetroArch powered retrogaming console - includes PSX, N64 and PSP

Would the 32 bit change affect any other core? There are more core than just n64 which benefits from it. Also I believe it will be switched to 64bit again when a proper arm64 jit get implemented.

Hacking Question What causes a NAND to become "dirty"?

Officially, no. But you can do some sort of a hard reset (I don't remember what it erases). For that you need to delete the USER partition content and delete everything under SYSTEM:/save EXCEPT 2 folders: 80000....120 & (I don't remember if there's something else, can't find the thread (the...

Hacking Question What causes a NAND to become "dirty"?

Actually the crash isn't logged locally. Creport only handles the generation of report, if I remember, then puts it into the NAND. However, with atmosphere's creport, it places it on the sd, as if you had 0 crash.

Hacking Question What causes a NAND to become "dirty"?

That's not true. Custom os don't write anything to the nand. It's true that what is in the memory is different (the os doesn't care, for now about that tho), but after a reboot, it's like you never did anything. Nsp:yes ofc. It does write a lot of stuff that I can't remember off of the top of...

Is it possible to have an in-place encryption/decryption with modules? I remember someone talking about it on the old hekate repo.

Hacking Nintendo Switch Banning Hub & Warning

Online saves only/related? Could it be related to the new online service? (For exemple: you didn't purchase the online services and they somehow detect the fact that you injected a save?)

Little correction, physical partitions are boot0 and boot1 (+ raw)

Hacking Nintendo Switch Banning Hub & Warning

If I remember correctly, in the PRODINFO partition, on the main physical partition. (Physical partition being boot0, boot1 and rawnand (which is the main one))

Hacking Nintendo Switch Banning Hub & Warning

Which homebrew? Cause not any cfw will leave traces on the nand after a reboot (since you were not online while using it, it doesn't make sense).

I think devloppers found evidence of a new crypto used + new files using that crypto. (It should be referenced somewhere too? Idk)

The fact that it's taking so long get us to two possible point: 1. It doesn't exist everything is a lie (lol) 2. It'll be hell of a wall in security and/or [NINTENDO REASONS] So yeah let's wait another year....
