Hacking How can I zero the NAND space?

I'm quite sure that the recovery menu won't ever zero the sectors. It removes just the entries from MFT. There would be no reason for recovery to zero out those sectors, since that would only degrade the lifespan of the emmc

Hacking How come SX OS hasn't been updated yet?

Nope, it doesn't. Even the 1.10 game update runs fine on 6.1.

Hacking Question I want to switch from TX to atmosphere: high ban risk

There's a high risk, but still no guarantee. I installed about 100 nsps AND even updated them though OFW. I am not banned yet.

Hacking Question I want to switch from TX to atmosphere: high ban risk

I can't really see where Draxzelex said something like that .... But he's absolutely right saying that nsps are "a sure 100% ban" is spreading misinformation.

Hacking Blank squares on SX OS after trimming

Great, thanks! A bit Off-Topic, but: Does anyone know if anywhere some kind of feature-request-thread /or -form exists? The SX OS xci-launcher is great. But i think it needs better view-modes. Especially with USB-drives, the collection could get rather big. But the menu doesn't sort the...

Hacking Blank squares on SX OS after trimming

Seems that the sxos-menu has problems reading the logo partition of split games. These games can be mounted and played without problems. Dunno if someone reported that issue to TX. It should be easy to fix.

Hacking Question Idiot didn't read, how screwed am I

So true! There's nothing like an instaban, or ban after a day. I'm using cfw with installed nsps since day one. I even online-updated all games trough horizon. I am still not banned. I don't care if it happens anytime in the future. But as long as i'm not, i will keep on enjoying online...

Homebrew Question Is there such a homebrew to shutdown the switch?

As Mr. Wizard already said, you are wrong. The Switch charges in rcm mode. But really slow. Otherwise we would already have dozens of dead switches, whose batteries drained while being in rcm mode.

    Homebrew RELEASE XCI-Cutter tool (Windows)

The clustersize is important for splitting. Split games won't work with clustersizes >32k. But while using exFAT, you won't need splitting at all. Therefore it doesn't matter. xci-files won't be installed at all (unlike nsp-files. You just have to copy the file to your sdcard. Therefore it...

Homebrew Question Is there such a homebrew to shutdown the switch?

Of course not. The dock charges the switch (unless you've unplugged the power cord)

Homebrew Question Is there such a homebrew to shutdown the switch?

It's quite easy to test. Just leave your switch 3-4 hours in that state. Turn back on and check the battery. Seems like we got different results here, but mine drains the battery when turned "off". I always (try to) shut it down before removing the sd card.

Homebrew Question Is there such a homebrew to shutdown the switch?

The shutdown option doesn't really turn the console off while using AutoRCM. It put's the console back in RCM mode. Resulting in high battery drain.

Hacking Question Best way to play Switch backups as of now? What switch to look for?

Sorry, but then you should start by reading some guides (like https://switch.hacks.guide/) or the stickies here.

Hacking Question Best way to play Switch backups as of now? What switch to look for?

Me either ;-) You'll have to inject a payload for every CFW ...and you'll need a jig, unless you are using some kind of AutoRCM.

Hacking Question Best way to play Switch backups as of now? What switch to look for?

You have to inject the payload on every boot (Use the Dongle, or inject with Smartphone/PC). It's likely that every game will be available as nsp. But currently it's not. Some games are missing since we need users to dump the correspondig titlekeys. But the list of titles is growing....

Hacking Question What happens when installing NSP over cartridge title?

Yes, that's true since there's only one version for breath of the wild. But there are some games with multiple IDs (mostly because of different regions). Yes, it behaves just like the cartridge. It uses the installed DLC and Updates
  18. M

Hacking Question What happens when installing NSP over cartridge title?

The nsp will replace the cartridge-title (as long as you are using a nsp with the same titleID)

Hacking Question Best way to play Switch backups as of now? What switch to look for?

The CFW itself isn't permanent... But installing nsp-files is. They won't run under ofw, but the installed data (and more important: invalid tickets) will stay in system memory.

Hacking Question Best way to play Switch backups as of now? What switch to look for?

Double space is only needed for installation. The nsp-file can be deleted afterwards.
