    Hacking Android 10 Switchroot Build

When booted into android it accepts docks not built specifically for the switch. Reportedly it can even do actual DisplayPort out. The dock I tried can do 4k60 HDR from Windows on a DisplayPort 1.2 laptop, but the Switch will only do 4k30 with it.

    Hacking Android 10 Switchroot Build

Yeah that was me, but I think the hardware should be capable. So I'm wondering if there's something in the software config limiting the resolution. Or maybe the Switch isn't even displayport 1.2

    Hacking Android 10 Switchroot Build

Is there any way to get this thing to output 4k60 / HDR? I know the stock dock isn't capable, but I'm using an adapter that I've confirmed will output 4k60 HDR in Windows. Like the Switch, said laptop is displayport 1.2 internally, so I'd think the hardware is capable.

Christmas Nintendo Gigaleak reportedly contains Mariko BootRom source code and Let's Go beta

I think the caveat is that it allows other hackers to dive in without having to figure out how to dump and disassemble the Mariko bootrom on their own. Probably nothing will come of it, but who knows for sure.

Christmas Nintendo Gigaleak reportedly contains Mariko BootRom source code and Let's Go beta

They won't admit to it anyway. I'd be very surprised if they truly refrained from looking. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they had this stuff for years.

Christmas Nintendo Gigaleak reportedly contains Mariko BootRom source code and Let's Go beta

Eh disassembly is hard, it's very possible they overlooked something. The source code would also allow other hackers to take a peak without having to find a vulnerability to dump the Mariko bootrom and spend months to years disassembling the software. Maybe nothing will come of it, but having...

Christmas Nintendo Gigaleak reportedly contains Mariko BootRom source code and Let's Go beta

Well that's actually precisely what the ipatch function is for, but those can only be written at the factory. If they left ipatch writing enabled after leaving the factory, then theoretically we could write a patch to just ignore all signature checks.

Hacking Question Can't Nintendo ban by battery serial?

They could, but they won't. There's too high of a chance of someone harvesting a battery to replace their failed one. Nintendo could probably figure out the serial number of the console with 99% accuracy just by looking at the joy-con serials and battery serials, but they don't want to...

ROM Hack Tokyo Mirage Session #FE Encore Switch Restoration Possible

Is it literally just an endianness difference? Format's are otherwise identical? That should be easy enough to do

Same argument could apply to sig patches, but atmosphere still doesn't support those (officially anyways)

Hacking TX Demos SX OS v3.0.0 Running On Switch Lite

Which games are physical only? I know that was a thing on the 3ds, but I can't think of a Switch game that is available physically that isn't also available digitally. Other way around yes. Regarding SD corruption and the inability to redownload the games in the far future... just make a...

Hacking Battery capacity in Hekate exceeds design?

More likely that hekate is misinterpreting whatever register it's getting that data from than him having a golden battery.

Hacking More Info Regarding Switch (Mariko/Lite) Mods by Team-Xecuter

For this kind of thing, spending a little more money and getting a temperature controlled iron is the way to go. The cheap stuff tends to be low power and unregulated. So the temperature gets way too hot, but it can't retain heat long enough to make good connections.

Hacking More Info Regarding Switch (Mariko/Lite) Mods by Team-Xecuter

Technically the number field sieve is not brute force (and is in fact orders of magnitude faster than brute force), but factoring a 2048-bit key is still well beyond what the combined global processing power is capable of. 1024-bit may be feasible in the next decade or so, but 2048-bit might...

Hacking More Info Regarding Switch (Mariko/Lite) Mods by Team-Xecuter

Probably the mod is dependent on circuitry that is common to all 3 variants, but are positioned differently between the classic and lite form factors - thus requiring slightly different boards.

Hacking Team-Xecuter Solution coming soon for latest Switch models

Hexkyz seems to feel the world revolves around him / his group. So he assumed that this news is related to the news of SciresM dumping the Switch Lite firmware package. The possibility was there of course, but it was by no means a guarantee. And with the admin here vouching for the news, I'm...

Hacking Team-Xecuter Solution coming soon for latest Switch models

My point is, what difference does it make? Asides for whiteknighting for SciresM and Nintendo, there's no point to getting up in arms. I don't see all of you harassing people who make NSP installers, rom dumpers etc even though they arguably harm Nintendo far more than a couple keys being leaked.

Hacking Team-Xecuter Solution coming soon for latest Switch models

Why should anyone who isn’t the copyright holder care about “stealing” ams code or leaving decryption keys in the final product? We’re all pirates here, why should we get on our high horses about a couple keys and “stealing” free code, while not giving a shit about playing “backups”? As far...
