Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Great news! As you mentioned, the CRC and whatnot really didn't matter. Evidently, it seems my cartridge slot kinda just shat itself during the dump and gave me a bad copy. When I dumped it again, it worked like a charm! In hindsight, I really should have done that first, lol. Still, thank you...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

The cart seemed to work perfectly, and by all accounts, it wasn't a bootleg. The cart itself honestly seemed perfectly fine. I was thinking it was an issue just in emulating Platinum, but it very well could be an issue with the ROM itself. Is there any guides as to how I can calculate a ROM...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hey! I’ve been attempting to run a copy of Pokemon Platinum I dumped using Godmode9. I’m currently running it through Twilight Menu, but after the nds-loader startup boots, the game greets me with a white bottom screen and a red top screen. The red top screen even has a neat little pattern of...

    Hacking Questions about removing CFW.

Interesting! Thank you for the knowledge — I was wondering why things did brick the way they did, since (at least at first) I wasn’t sure exactly /how/ this stuff happened. Like, I had my theories, but I pretty much just started figuring this out, lmao. Thanks for appeasing my curiosity!

Homebrew [Release] GYTB: Custom badges made really, really, simple.

Hey! I’m having a bit of an issue with GYTB. Despite the badges folder being there, GYTB appears to be unable to read it, instead giving a 0000004f error code. When I deleted all official badges and re-attempted it, it told me the badges file wasn’t there, despite it being both on the root of my...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I’m attempting to load up some custom badges with GYTB. However, it’s giving me the error that a ‘badge is in use’ — but I can’t find any badges on my home screen anywhere. E: Solved that, but I have a different issue. It proceeds to attempt to write to every single non-custom badge I have...

    Hacking Questions about removing CFW.

I see! For an NDS mode to brick, then, would it relate to having something that made heavy use of it (like TwiLight Menu/other nds emus), that weren’t properly removed previous to the CFW being uninstalled? I’d suppose if you removed everything properly, /then/ removed the CFW, it’d function...

    Hacking Questions about removing CFW.

I’m asking not because I actually want to remove CFW per se — moreso because the threads on it and responses caught my attention, and I want to sate my curiosity without bricking my poor 3DS. Assuming someone had to remove CFW from a n3DS, does anyone know why it tends to brick nds mode? I’ve...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Personally, I’d say Checkpoint — if my memory serves me right, you can just back up the save and then move to the SD card version of the game — and the save should be right there, ready to be restored to the digital cart. I’ve done it myself, and it’s as smooth as it gets, imo.

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

If memory serves, Godmode9 can actually just do that! By selecting the ‘.trim.3ds’ part of the cartridge files, then going into ‘NCSD image options,’ you can then install the game image directly from there using ‘Install game image.’ If memory serves, this should place it on without having to...

    Hello!

Seems like introductions are the norm here, so I’ll toss my chip in. I’m AriaNights, or just Aria for short. I’m a total goddamned noob when it comes to tech stuff and the like, but the 3DS homebrew scene intrigued me, so I reckoned I should join the scene, despite what may be my better...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I’m not entirely sure if I should be asking here, but I suppose better here than a thread of its own. Assuming no piracy, and with measures taken not to send data to dear ol’ Ninty, what are the chances of getting banned at this point? I’ve gotten my New 3DS XL CFW’d a few days back, and I’m...

Bought a used Nerf Mega blaster yesterday, good condition, but only got one single foam dart for it. And it was so chewed up, when I tried to fire it today it ripped the tip clean off and spat the thing out in two pieces.
