    Sorry guys I know it’s been done before but the latest tutorial I saw was like 2019 so I thought maybe there’s an updated tutorial. Going to start fresh with 512gb microsd soon.     Getting this error message now whenever i try to install anything on my switch. Ever since my SD card corrupted once a while back. I’m thinking I need to just start fresh on a new sd card ? It’s a sadisk 256 didn’t even last me 2 years so don’t want to go that route if I don’t have to.

    Whats the solution for me now you think though ? Just forget about ever installing direct from pc? If I have to rely on fat32 formatted hdd/usb how would I install larger games ?

    Yup so the external hdd worked when I formatted to fat32. Never seen anything like this. I get why the sd card needs to be fat32 but why external usbs and connecting to pc cable ?

    But why doesn’t tinfoil read usbfs when plugged into via same pc if that’s the case ? That was my main way of installing I rarely used external Hdd.

    Ok I think I understand. But what can I do to install games bigger than 4.7 especially on atmosphere I can’t run xci on an external hard drive. That’s why I used my hdd (external if there’s any confusion) to put large games on and installed them via tinfoil. If I format the hdd to fat32 as well...

    No my SD card thwt I play games on has always been fat32 before it corrrupted and after. My hdd that I use to install games into my sd card used to read fine on tinfoil and now since my sd card got corrupt and I started fresh won’t read anymore. I haven’t done anything different to the hdd itself.

    Oh I’m not sure but I haven’t changed it from how it was when tinfoil was recognising it till after I had to format my sd card if that makes sense. Like it’s the same hdd all that changed between it working and not working is formatting my sd card.
