Have you tried using Mocha?
I'm not sure then, not familiar with the way he's running the CFW. Maybe a bad cable??
Loadiine can only work off of a SD card and will not work on a usb drive. That could be causing your issue.
He said he's using Loadiine...
It's looking like he's trying to install signed games without the Wii U patching signatures (ie running haxchi). You need to run a CFW to be able...
You can also inject the GameCube games using that utility and you can use the Wii U game pad to play games. You have to use a CFW like CBHC to do...
It's sounding like the USB stick could be at fault.

It could be possible if they could figure out a way to use the Windows for pi version.

Sorry I had the i3's and i5's mixed up. You are right.
You have it backwards, laptop i5's are not hyper-threaded, desktop CPU's are.
I5's come in 4 or 6 cores. The 4 cores are hyper-threaded so they will show up as 8 cores, as the 6 core versions are not.
i7's are nice, but you can get i5's for cheaper. They are still decent for gaming. Just saying.
If you inject the games, you can use the Wii U gamepad or the wii classic pro controller. That's what I use.
