Welcome... to Jurassic Park.

TT Games are back with the latest blockbuster movie franchise in traditional Lego style. Jurassic World features all four of the movies starting with 1993's Jurassic Park right through to 2015's Jurassic World.

I must admit that a lot of the Lego games are a guilty pleasure of mine, and Jurassic World is up there with the best Lego titles to come from TT Games.

Hold onto your butts!

We all know the story of Jurassic Park, and here TT Games have recreated all four movies faithfully with the classic Lego mould. You can play through the movies in order, or just jump right in to any one of the four game worlds. Each movie has it's own hub world which are accessed from a larger world map. Once you pick one you can do the usual Lego side stuff or follow the story of the movies.

The original Jurassic Park is my favorite movie so I started out with Michael Crichton's adventure and jumped into the action. The story is spot on and experiencing it through the world of Lego was awesome. The usual tropes are here like smashing everything up to build other objects, and using specific character's powers to progress the level. There are a lot of silly jokes and references, but none of them feel out of place and a few even got a smile out of me,

Challenge

Now Most people know that the Lego games aren't really challenging, but more of a collectathon. I enjoy these games and have to say I played this loads with my son and each movie's scenario took around 4-5 hrs to complete, After finishing the first movie I only had 9% completion. I think it would last younger children a lot longer though as some of the puzzles and collectables aren't really obvious what you have to do. Of course the main challenge of the game is to get 100% completion which will easily take 20-25hrs to achieve.

Dinosaurs!

The best part of Lego Jurassic World is getting to control the dinosaurs. Using them to fight off other dinosaurs or to solve puzzles and smash some quick QTEs is great. If you haven't seen Jurassic World the movie yet then obviously the game will spoil it for you if you play that story, which happens to have to have some of the best dinosaur action.

Verdict

What We Liked ...
 • Faithfully recreates the movies with added Lego Humor
 • Great chase scenes
 • Loads of content
 • DINOSAURS!
What We Didn't Like ...
 • Some glitchy collectibles
6
Gameplay
The Regular Lego formulae is here. Smash stuff up then build other stuff. There is nothing really new but the chase and race sections are great.
9
Presentation
TT Games have done a great job with Lego Jurassic World. This is a big world to explore, covering all 4 movies perfectly with the classic Lego style.
8
Lasting Appeal
Lego Jurassic Park will take you around 20-25hrs to 100% if you are a regular player of Lego games. Probably double that for younger players. Replaying races and dinosaur runs is fun as they are the perfect length for a quick go.

Overall

Just like Lego Marvel is the best MARVEL game, Lego Jurassic World is the best JURASSIC PARK game!
Which is surprsing since the 3ds versions are not that great to begin with
I did like they included the first 3 movies instead of just jw

Note that the game has voice acting, and all the voice audio is directly ripped from the movies. It's hilariously bad.

The 3ds version is also skipping a bunch of parts that are in the console versions, seems to be laggy also with a lot of chrecters on screen at once
