Review Approach:

Hello, my name is Stealphie and this time i'm reviewing the rather infamous Sonic 4.
Is this game fun? Yes
Are the levels well designed? Yes (most of the time)
Is this short? Yes, too short, like, you can beat this game in less than 3 hours.
Are the graphics good? Well yes, but actually no. They are mediocre if you just take a glance at them, but if you play the game enough, you will appreciate them way more, i really like them.
Is the music good? I adore this Soundtrack. it's really really really underrated.
Are the physics good? I wouldn't call Sonic 4's physics good objectively, they are pretty weird, but when you get used to them, OH MY GOD, They are so fun to "use", especially compared to, Sonic Forces 2D Sonic gameplay.
Are the power-ups good? Yeah, they are pretty useful, and that's about it.
Are the special stages good? God no, they are very similar to the ones in Sonic 1 and that's not a good thing.
Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode I is also available for: iOS, Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows Phone 7, Android, BlackBerry PlayBook, Ouya
What I Liked . . . Catchy Music Great Gameplay I actually like the graphics in Sonic 4. Fight me. Well Designed Levels (mostly) (For me it's a pro ) These goddamn physics What I Didn't Like . . . Too Short. No reason to come back to this game after you've already beaten it. (Not really a con to me) Physics, if you are way too acostumed to classic sonic physics, or you just hate them (understandably) for being different and weird. Horrible Special Stages
8 Presentation
I genuinely like the graphics in Sonic 4. Fight me. And i find the music catchy as hell.
8 Gameplay
Basically the classic sonic gameplay but now you have the Homing attack. OH GOD. THE HOMING ATTACK. This thing is amazing, you can start to run fast really fast, and you can correct your jump with this if you missed it (horizontally). However, the physics are, let's just say, off. It makes no goddamn sense. And i love them.
1 Lasting Appeal
You have time attack mode, and, that's it.

Overall (not an average)
Let's just say one thing: This game is overhated af. Some people are like: "wOrSt SOnIc GaMe EvEr". It's because this game was marketed like it was a revival of the classic games, and when they bought and played the game they were like: "THIS AIN'T SONIC". This really isn't "Sonic 4", this feels like a different take on the classic formula like Advance, Rush, etc. Mania deserved the title "Sonic 4" because it is a straight up revival of the classic formula. Sonic 4 should've had a name like "Sonic (insert cool word here)". Overral, i really like Sonic 4. Way better than i remembered.
