Then you must download the flashcard kernel: http://www.r4ids.cn/r4i-download-e.htm

Put the microSD card into the R4i Gold 3DS Plus and it’s ready to be used.

If you want to use NTRBootHax, change the position of the switch to "N". If you want to use it as a normal flashcard select "D" using the switch. Some photos of inside the flashcard:

Uhm... how can I open the card?

Compatibility

WoodR4 is a very well known alternative kernel that has been developed for a long time.

So it's relevant its high compatibility with DS software. I've tried some conflictive games due to their AP patches as it's the case of Pokemon White 2, which is working correctly.

Everything was as expected.

Verdict
Pros
+ Preflashed to be used with NTRBootHax.
+ As it has a switch to change modes it’s not necessary to flash it again to use it in DS mode.
+ Official support of WoodR4
+ This team is well known by supporting their DS flashcards.
+ No timebomb. Other flashcards stop working when a concrete date is passed, this flashcard is free of this problem.
+ Good compatibility.
Cons
- The switch to change the mode (NTRBootHax - Normal DS flashcard) is inside the card.
- Latest kernel was released in2013, although there are not any problems to be solved.

Overall
If you're going to make use of NTRBootHax is an option to consider as it makes the process easier by changing the mode with a switch. It offers good software compatibility and it's been supported by WoodR4 team. That's why I've always recommended their flashcards. I consider a design failure having the switch inside as it makes more difficult to access to it. I don't understand this decision. In spite of this I think the other features compensate it, so it all depends on the use you're going to make of this flashcard, and it has the same price of the previous model.
