Review Approach:
XFlak here, conducting one of my first hardware reviews. I'm pretty well-known in the gbatemp community, mostly for my work involved in the Wii hacking scene. Dudios contacted me and asked if I would review this product, and they sent me a free unit to test. Other than the headphones I am not receiving any compensation for this review, nor am I letting the free headphones dictate a favourable review. My intent is to create an unbiased review for the layman.

So I am definitely not an audiophile, let's make this clear right from the start. I've read other great reviews (like this one https://gbatemp.net/review/dudios-tic-bt-headphones.1374) that get into the sound quality and tinniness and things like that. My ears just don't pick up on these subtle differences so I won't be covering any of this suffice to say that to my ears the sound quality was GREAT but I still couldn't hear a difference between this and my older headset with bluetooth 4.1 technology made by a competitor. My review is geared more towards the everyday working Joe, but if you want to hear about sound quality than please do check out the other review I linked to above for more insights.
First, the Good:
The build quality feels pretty high end. I really like the charging case; running out of battery has become a thing of the past! This was a feature missing from my old headset and I definitely enjoy having a nice sleek charging case as opposed to silk string bags that come with many competing headphones.
The headphones feature a Game Mode which is really well-done and utilizes BT 5.0 technology. You can tell immediately that there's a noticeable decrease in latency when enabled and the audio syncs up quite nicely with visuals making this a GREAT headset for gamers. That being said, most gamers I know in real life prefer a wired headset, but perhaps this is the next best thing when you aren't able to carry around a big bulky wired headset. Of course there is no free lunch, Game Mode will eat into your battery life so make sure to turn it off when you're done gaming and just listening to music.
I really liked the ability to use one ear bud by itself. Sometimes I want to have a conversation with someone on the phone but still have an ear free to make sure my kids in the next room aren't killing each other. It was very easy to switch between using both ear-buds or just one. Simply start by taking just one ear-bud out of the case and it pairs just the one ear-bud. Feel like pairing both a bit later on? Easy, just take out the other ear-bud and it pairs automatically. Change your mind and want to go back to using 1 ear-bud? Simple, just put one back in the case (or long press the main button for 8 seconds if the case isn't nearby to turn it off manually).
The price is super affordable and a bargain for all that you are getting!
Now, the Bad:
I am not a fan of the smart touch controls. I often find myself struggling to consistently register a good double tap or triple tap on them and think a physical button would make this easier. That being said, the Smart touch control is also nice as it doesn’t force you to push the earpiece into the ear too much to answer a call or hang up - just a simple light touch of the shell and it answers the call. I think I just need a bit more practice so I am willing to give Dudios the benefit of the doubt and did not take off any points for this.
I cannot not believe there is no volume control built into these headphones!! Seriously, to adjust the volume you either need to pull out your phone and do it manually, or triple tap the left earpiece and tell Google Assistant to adjust the volume. I use my bluetooth headphones primarily for working out, and missing audio controls on the headset itself is a big hassle. I like to adjust the volume depending on the intensity of my work out or to compensate for individual tracks that for some reason or another are just too quiet or too loud by default. I am deducting 2 points (out of 10) for this alone. To me, this is the biggest flaw in this design.
As I previously mentioned I use bluetooth headphones mostly for working out. When I use these headphones I feel like they could easily to slip out of my ear. That being said, they don't actually fall out very often, but I find myself constantly pushing them into my ears so I feel that they stay secure. This might be personal preference, but I like the idea of having a short wire connecting the 2 ear buds just to each other. That way if one or even both ear buds fall out then they will stay wrapped around my neck\shoulders instead of crashing to the floor. Further, I like my previous earbuds that have 'InEar-Hooks', I think they do a better job of keeping the headphones in my ears (see pics of a competing headset with this design below). I'm not deducting any points for this since this is just my personal preference and any buyer can easily tell just by the pics that the design is two separate\wireless ear buds without inEar-Hooks. If you prefer your ear buds to have a wire connecting the two, or you prefer inEar-Hooks then this product might not be for you. That being said, the Dudios TIC design is more closely aligned with the Apple AirPods which is one of the most popular designs, so perhaps I am in the minority of users that have a different preference. (see pics of a competing headset with inEar hooks below)

I found that memorizing the smart touch controls to be a bit challenging. Once you memorize what all the single, double and triple taps do for each the left and right ear bud it's not a problem, but I found myself having to consult the manual a few times before I had this memorized. There were a few times when I wanted to go for a jog and I decided to use my old ear-buds just because I didn't have time to double-check the Dudios controls before my run. I've shared a photo of the manual section that list the controls so you can see what I am talking about.

Overall, I think this is a great product for the price and feel comfortable recommending it to friends and family after first going over the Cons to make sure they don't consider any of them to be 'deal-breakers'.
