I have a problem with some games that whenever I try to load it and it appears the "press a button" screen the Wii doesn't recognize any input; it happens with nintendont and with Dios Mios

I don't know if this matters I guess it doesn't but my Wii doesn't have a disk reader

So if I understand correctly, you're booting into Nintendont and it asks you to press a button?

It might be asking for a player 1 Gamecube controller input.
If it's at the Wii menu, use the Wiimote.

I think hes talking about the "press a button" screen that comes on all games when you boot them.

First of, what games does this happen with?
Second, have you tried changing the controller options in the Nintendont settings menu for those games?

im guessing you are using a gamecube controller? and i bet you dont have it plugged in port 1? but port 2-4?
back then you needed the controller connected to the correct port you cant just place it wherever you want it, since some games only accept controls from port 1.

I'm not so sure in what games it happens but one of them it's Metroid Prime 2

And as for the port, I'm pretty sure that is plugged in port 1, and yes it's a GC controller
