Why can't I use download play with twilightloader++?

Me and my sister have a 3ds (Mine being hacked) and I wanted to play mario party ds with her but she doesn't have the game. We tried download play and it should work but whenever she tried downloading the content it would show a message about an error and we'd have to both go back to home menu and then wait 2 minutes untill I got from there to the multiplayer tab only to get an error again. Is it possible to use ds download play to play with someone who's using twilightloader++

    Download play doesnt work with nds-bootstrap for now. wait for an update.

    It's because nds-bootstrap currently doesn't know how to deal with the "reset" that happens when your download play game starts, if you wanted a more in-depth answer. The best solution other than waiting for it to have this functionality would be to run TWiLight Menu++ on both consoles and play true multiplayer.

    I mean where I, the TWilight Menu++ user make a room and a non hacked 3ds used download play. Not where I join a room

    Mike, that is what I am referring to. Many Download Play games trigger a "reset and startup sequence" of sorts prior to running the DLP.

    Oh, I tried it with kirby super star ultra and it worked so I guess that's an exception to it?
