yep got one
Do you have one really ? i need one prerequisite from you that is for you to remember the last custom firmware you had on your ps3
the type as well as in rebug or regero
i don't know that. got it from a friend to fix and couldn't that was so many years ago he won't remember.
damn we need that firmware information thats all this fix requires
he should be able to remember what type it was regero or rebug should he ?
and i am assuming i will not be able to find out that info its current state???
we might be able to, i need to know one thing that i have not tested and that is to check it with the firmware checker that you put on your usb then run through updater you know what im talking about ? if so we need to be able to do this through the recovery mode updater can you see what im saying if not this fix will be half complete unless you check all of them one at a time until you find the right one then it will update.
check all custom firmwares that is
do you have a working ps3 ?
i will dig it out and hook it up later and run recovery mode. have to son to work first
sorry its not a firmware checker it wont work its a minimum firmware checker, damn it.
we need to know the last custom firmware it was on this might be my only chance to try my fix.
reply when you get back
it was never on custom firmware. only official firmware.
might still work but as i said we might need the exact firmware we could narrow it down by the year it got the red screen of death and look at firmware release charts could you do that ?
matching the occurance of the red screen of death and firmware that was released at that time.
just hooked it up but only sign of life is the red power light on front of console. the ps3 won't power up at all now.
do you want to continue ? this fix will put your ps3 into a state that you need the right firmware to update and succeed though meaning you will have to try updating with all firmwares until you get the right one then you will have success in updating
did you try holding the power button until two beeps ?
try taking the power cord out and reataching it while holding eject.
Hello. I have a fat PS3 with OFW 4.82. I will try to fix with a e3 flasher, but I am curious how your fix works for consoles without CFW.
dont worry if it revs up alot when you do this
I have done a fix before by a fluke without any hardware or software fixes but i am going to stay quiet until i have fully tested it again.
