my partner is a gamer, and though its awesome being able to talk to her about all the latest and retro games, it can REALLY REALLY suck when she wont stop playing FF, Harvest moon, zeldas, etc etc. and i dont get a look in. you can also imagine what i get less off with her playing into the late hours >,>
You got it made on the US, or most first-world countries for that matter. It shouldn't be that hard. Outside of them, they are rare as fuck. Especially in countires whose usual view is more rooted in "games are for children" which just makes you look bad 
I find the ratio of gamers I know from female to male to be 1/6.

It shouldn't be that hard. I have a translation forum and it's bombarded with gamer girls who have 360s, PS3s, retro games, etc.
We're not ashamed to tell people we're gamers, but it all depends on where you look. We're around, though.

There's more gamer girls out there then you think. Unfortunately, the boys tend to make us rarer than we're supposed to be. That's probably because us girls do not say we're gamers unless we're asked. T'is a confusing world, I know.

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.

@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
