I didn't know that, and pardon my ignorance. I'm a huge Linux enthusiast, and have been a regular user since Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. ^_^

It's mostly a nickname used on discord servers and from people who know me personally. I've been using many Linux distros as main for about 12 years now, which is also the last time I had Windows on any of my personal computers.

As much as I'd like to go Linux exclusively, (bravo, by the way) I can't because I rely on Windows for fast GPU-assisted video encoding and Photoshop... Both things Linux *still* sucks ass at.

I gave up photoshop and just learned how to use Gimp and tend to lean heavily on any hardware that is Linux friendly. I am not a big PC gamer, I just need an OS that works the way I want and or I can make work for me.

I'm mostly a Switch gamer now thankfully, and some things I try to do in GIMP that I use in Photoshop just don't work. Adobe has me by the balls... I also hate LibreOffice, and use WPS Office instead. Much better document compatibility and has more of an M$ Office feel to it for familiarity.

After 12 years I became accustom to my programs, plus I can just get a different one within seconds. I can see the use for those, since they are so commonly used and easier to get information on.

But I still prefer my free software that does what I need it to do.

If I could ever learn to program in Qt, I'd make GUI frontends for all the Terminal Apps that I deem need them, for Terminal-inept people like myself.

Qt is fun, btw. Although I use Solus Linux with Budgie DE, which is currently based on GTK
