Really not. You're burning gas just to go there.
I do get compensated for gas, "supposedly", but even with the commute, and work, I get 10-12 hours per week, and yes, my car does get good mileage, but.... the stress of driving in a large city with inconsiderate drivers, bumper to bumper. I'm starting to get some serious doubts and negative thoughts about this. Our warehouse relocated 8 km to 60 km because the building lease was up. -_-
I wouldn't do it. I'm covering part of a shift for someone today, only 4 hours. I was pissed about driving for that. Keep in mind, it's easier to find another job while you have one.
The only thing is I don't want to make the wrong choice.
I understand. But I don't think 12 hrs a week can even be considered part time.
It isn't, no, typically 20-28 hours is part time, like, it's either this, or do the delivery route, which is 2:45 AM to 11:00 or so. So yes, waking up 1:45 AM six times a week.
It's not worth it. Ever...
It's causing me anxiety >.>
That's why I say it's not worth it. I'd feel anxious also if I had to do all that driving for a short spree of work.
My boss was supposed to give me more hours by merchandising, which is me going to various stores, counting our bread and sending numbers. That would be closer, and far more consistent, but he never got back to me like he said he would. Gonna ask him about it.
Did you ask him about it?
Yes, and it's not ideal. Only checking two stores a day, big whoop. It's not a schedule.
