  • 3D capable displays may have died but I believe they're gonna make a comeback in the future once we've perfected 2D.
Ace Attorney Chronicles' volume on the Switch is so damn low, this sucks so much. It's nowhere near the regular level, even the trilogy.

    I can't enjoy the music well now, it feels like it's at 30%. ;-;

    Maybe less techno-rave-parties then ? :P <j/k>

I won't try that game for the next months to come,
but this might be the first Gyakuten game with a weird audio mixing going on.

Gotta rave to that sweet pursuit music lol.

Hmm probably, this doesn't even have volume sliders at all. The 3DS games come to mind, but the 3DS never had powerful audio anyway and it was the same for everything else, for that in ears did the trick.
I don't consider people who defeat games like Dark Souls after a long time of trial and error to be skillful.

I will agree with that, someone who takes fewer attempts to complete it is more skilled than someone who takes a thousand tries. I'm reminded of "Twitch plays Pokemon", or the adage about an infinite amount of monkeys on keyboards. You -can- complete a game with random button presses, given enough time and retries.

I’ve only been dying to the small enemies annoyingly enough. The bosses though have all been very quick- sometimes first tries for me so far (DS1 remaster on steam)

    But at the same time I spent a straight 40 minutes on the ‘first boss’ (the opening) of Castlevania SotN because I didn’t realize you were supposed to hit him in the head... I will never get that time back ;o;

    What *is* a skill ?
    Nothing but a mise-

    Uhhh.. wrong post'.
The time traveller from the past went back to his time, albeit very confused.

When asked why, he said that he had seen people, who for some reason, were happy that they were able to buy products, and at regular prices.

When asked to elaborate further, he answered, "I don't know man, apparently it all had something to do with their scalps. Like what the fuck."
I want an LG C1 so bad, but damn where am I gonna get that much money lol.

Headphones works for me. First I only got sound in one ear. But when I pushed it in more I got sound in both ears. Seems like low quality connector.

Yours might be messed up. Maybe find some way to output to an external audio device that has headphone jacks with the optical audio connector if you have one.

Yeah sounds about right, I think the problem is that the port itself isn't made like the standard, any 3.5mm jack I plug into it has a little bit of the jack jutting out which probably causes the loose connection for everyone.
    Jiehfeng
    Jiehfeng
And yeah it's probably worse on mine, I have to push the cable upwards slightly and then it works, and to get it to stay like that I need to let go of it very slowly to try to not move it much after.

I thought of the optical out as well, though I don't have a DAC for that. Instead I'm going to try to find a solution for USB DACs for the PS5 and Switch, found a promising solution and will try it soon.
Y'know, other than the Steam Deck probably being good competition for the Switch, the real beneficial competition is for GPD and the others.

GPD, Aya Neo and whatnot are now pretty much forced to try to keep their future handhelds price competitive with it as well. Which is great, we'll have more plausible options.

The steam deck is so ridiculously cheap that I think if anything it will wipe out every other device in the handheld gaming PC space
    Jiehfeng
    Jiehfeng
It is but GPD at least has tried so hard the past few years, I doubt they would just give up. They would at least try even if it isn't exactly on par or better. There's the possibility of new competitors as well if it clearly sells well (or even Tecent could pull it off whether or not if some may dislike them).
I am enjoying Skyward Sword HD very much. Really happy with the motion controls as well, as expected it works flawlessly.

I hope you continue to enjoy that game.

Shame it's so expensive, I'd be interested if it was 40 bucks.
    Jiehfeng
    Jiehfeng
Well you can certainly get it for that price I heard through Best Buy or Walmart iirc making use of an offer. Maybe with time it'll go to that price.
The steam deck would probably be the only mainstream console this gen that has free online multiplayer.

Gamepass? I mean the actual consoles, their Series X still charges for it, only the free to play ones are now free.

Steam really, though time will tell for sure how this goes.
Move aside Skyward Sword poll, make way for the "will you be buying a Steam Deck" lol.

Even though Skyward Sword wasn't a huge success, I have a feeling a ton of people will love this HD version. It has a lot of QoL changes.

I'm guessing there are a few factors at play for the motion controls which would cause issues when playing the Wii version. I initially had many issues, but years later on a Dolphin emulator I tried a fake Wii motion plus and that was horrible. Then I got a genuine built in remote and it worked perfectly and I had no issues.
    Jiehfeng
    Jiehfeng
But that wasn't the only issue with the game. There are annoying things like item descriptions which keep on appearing after you reboot the game, and Fi constantly interrupting you and sometimes spoiling discoveries. They're all fixed now.
    Jiehfeng
    Jiehfeng
In any case the Switch would most likely have the motion controls work near perfectly, without the need for any calibration (maybe only once if it wasn't set right). So I'm gonna go with motion controls as well, I know it'll be more fun for sure. Also there's camera controls now if you use motion controls, which is sweet.
So there are sellers on ebay selling services to modify BoTW savedata, and a guy in Japan who did so was arrested recently.

If it needs NSO details, probably somethiing to do with cloud sync? Add hacked but not banned device, cloud sync upload and then download on the users switch?

I just realized, the OLED Switch probably has a glass cover now instead of plastic. I wonder what kind of gorilla glass it is.
    sarkwalvein
    sarkwalvein
sure the one that is a scratch magnet and shatters at the first drop
    Jiehfeng
    Jiehfeng
At least it would be much more scratch resistant than the plastic, the cheapest tempered glass protectors even do a much better job than the current plastic cover. Shattering may be an issue though.
    Seriel
    Seriel
Yeah the plastic screens are usually chosen because they don't shatter, which is good when youre making a product aimed at children (Glass shards near a child? Yikes.)

Of course if you get a decent enough strength glass then it's much less of a problem but this is also Nintendo so thats unlikely.
