    I remember I tried using my N64 before I moved on a 4KTV that somehow had the right things and it put some kinda filter that made the game look like a blurry mess

    N64 has a built in blur filter and you can't turn it off. Although the UltraHDMI does a good job at reversing it. For other consoles, a Framemeister/OSSC/RetroTink is sufficient.

    I did some research and uh- well it’s different than that.
    When I do it on modern “smart” TV’s it stretches it to fit the screen and does some kinda gross thing that makes it look... I don’t know how to explain it
