Seems like people mostly bought the Xbox for Halo and homebrew.
The GameCube on the other hand had many of Nintendo's greatest games to date plus strong third party support with games like Tales of Symphonia and Viewtiful Joe so people still remember it fondly.
No one cares about the Xbox now because Halo got ported and there are far better devices for homebrew and media these days. It was reasonably popular back then, but joined the game kind of late when the other two were already firmly established.
Original xbox was more than just Halo. It was more poor man's PC and usually the best version of any mutliplat title. As most things there have since been ported to the PC and other than the ability to play original xbox games then even a raspberry pi outclasses it for homebrew purposes then it has a rather more limited appeal.
