    Thanks a lot for this, will really help me out with shitty dual-audio releases of anime that default to English audio with no subs even though English VA is absolutely shit for all but like 10 anime ever made... Got anything for .avi or .mp4 files as well by any chance? Most my stuff is in MKV so I'm covered, just asking for those two for reference should I ever need it.

    IIRC you can do that with ffmpeg. Might make a second copy of the file(s) but definitely doesn't remux them if you're only changing default flags.

    You may have to extract and re-add the subtitle as default but it should still be faster than re-encoding. (Just make sure to select the copy encoder to avoid exactly that, re-encoding the video track.)
