Get an electric clipper set. Makes shaving quick as hell.
It gets worse as time goes on though.
I have a super cheap electric one. Maybe I should upgrade to something better.
Sometimes hair gets stuck in the stupid thing and it really hurts.
Honestly, I really thought it was gonna be worse...
I was afraid I would always look like Neo or the heavy weapons guy with that stupid blue ring, but ahh, I got over myself eventually
Oh man, it's been awhile since I had that happen. Happened a lot back when I used just the disposable razors. Hate, hate, hate that shit. And the razor burn, the worse.
Get a good 20-30 dollar one and it shouldn't happen too much. I've had mine for about 4 years and still works fine, with no pulling on my whiskers.
Shaving can be annoying, but why not grow a beard? It's not only good for looks but it has been proven to be better for your overall health among other things:P
Wait, that's interesting. Why would a beard be good for my health? Never heard that before.
Well, to be honest, I don't like beards all that much. I'm a bit of a girly type and I dunno, a beard just looks weird on me.
It's also itchy when laying in bed.
Well, just cause you don't have a beard doesn't mean your girly. But I'm not so much of a manly man myself, or should I say macho... not that it's a bad thing, just gets ridiculous
I think you're right, being too macho is off putting. I think reluctant people are more sympathetic to me.
Um, maybe I worded that poorly. I'm not doing any girly stuff or anything like that. I just have a high voice and slender build and long hair, I guess that's me. The only time I have a beard is when I'm so invested in some hobby project that I forget to shave for a few days, hihi.
@Upaluppa If we exclude the looks reason and how it makes you look more mature, for health reasons, the University of Southern Queensland proved it protects against skin cancer because your body produces more keratin (and since it goes in the beard hair there isn't any excess to cause conditions like athlete's foot or cancer) in order to maintain the beard (plus less exposure to sun).
Asthma Care of New York proved it also lessens the effects of allergens, which is really great for some people.
And to repeat myself, it's great for looks:P
rip women then
For women, it's because of similar reasons that longer hair is considered healthier, even if a pain to take care of.
And for beards, I don't mean you definitely need that klingon beard (almost what I have) or hobo beard, just a bit more than 5 o'clock shadow goes a long way for making you look cool while also being healthy for you:P
yeah, well he has longer hair too :) your talking to an 18 year old kid who has a leopard as his avatar, hehe not arguing with you, beards do look good
Interesting, thanks for explaining. Hmm, maybe a mustache would suit my style, I dunno. A full beard is just too annoying for me. I've tried it and I keep touching it all the time without thinking about it. Other people even pointed it out.
Hmm, thankfully allergies are one of the few problems I don't have.
Just look into it, if still young, beards or mustaches might not suit you, but don't rule them out without giving them a try first or for later down when your beard starts growing too fast to bother with shaving! And the urge to touch it is not as bad as you might think, it's great for thinking or de-stressing if you play with it a bit lol
Hey thanks for the advice :3 we'll see, maybe I'll find a girlfriend one of these days, maybe she'll like it
Who knows, maybe I'll grow a beard someday. It's never too late! ;)
Thanks for your comments, y'all!
