I like johnny Depp and the movies Charlie and the Choclate Factory and the Alice in Wonderland/Behind the Mirror. They are ok.
But I am a little "old style" in Movies and for me I like the "original" versions of them more.

Yes, the originals are often better than new versions. I don't like it when they change too many things from the first movie or the book it is based on. It's a good idea to watch both versions to see what was changed.

I'm not old enough to have seen the classic films when they came out, but I'm also a bit old style when it comes to music and maybe I should do that for movies, too.

It's the same thing with cover songs. Even if a cover is good don't forget the original. ;)

There's also, Last Bible, F.E. Binding Blade, Tingles Rosey etc.. and on DS the translated Blood of Bahamut etc... many to collect I love em all. Yes, best played on original hardware, agree 100%.. most avail. from the same dealer(s)

didn't want a refund, just bummed, thought he would have checked it first, tried it on someone else's, with same results, no idea why. must handle memory diff. somehow, I'm guessing. I could see why he would doubt me but my logic/test was flawless.

I realized after this post, this must have been a reason you could not play GB color or GB games, no backward compatibility on GB Micro, so there is something different about the board from a GBA, this 'reason must be what stops the game from playing flawless.

Youre right, I completely forgot about that.
It seems that GBA and SP had a built in chip for GB functionality which is missing in the Micro and the DS.

As for why it would affect the Mother 3 English repro I have no clue, but that must be the reason. Now I wonder if it works on a Gameboy Player, I haven't tried that yet.

There was a limited Mother 3 edition of the GB Micro because the game arrived so late in the GBA lifecycle, now I want one of those. Anyways, it was a good idea to buy the cart! I'm having so much fun experiencing M3 properly for the first time! ;)

But I find it hard to go back to Mother 2 or even 1 after playing this. The battles are boring without the rhythm element.
there are people that make official-looking case covers for them too, for people like me who still don't own a decent printer. My last one was a Lexmark Optra R ( true 1200DPI greyscale) looooved it years ago...

Freezes at the almost same point (on the micro only)on load each time. eBay has these for sale cheap, well worth the purchase through. Only this game. all others work fine on micro, so it's not that.

I think I'll treat myself to such a cart, there's something neat about owning a (really great) game that officially doesn't exist.

Nothing beats playing on real hardware. I can think of quite a few fan translations, romhacks and unreleased prototypes that deserve this treatment.
Flashcarts have compatibility issues, fail to boot etc,, I just never thought about looking for repros until you mentioned it. ;)

not expensive, was only about 20 bucks, still, don't know why it freezes, but works fine on DS lite & GB Advance SP (clamshell style) so go figure. He emailed me telling me I was wrong, my camera was too cheap otherwise I would have vid taped it.

I have no idea how it can freeze on the Micro while working on other models, I thought that was the same hardware, but you never know. The seller should have offered you a refund, but at least it works on other consoles.
Ahh I see now. I have owned one for many years, now my eyes are too bad to see it without glasses. I bought a Mother3 cart from eBay to play on it, the guy swore it would play on GB MIcro, turns out, it plays on everything except the micro. It freezes upon play. (Works on my DS lite though). I collect reflashed carts of translated games. I just can't bring myself to sell it, Think I paid $70.?

I had no idea that some reflashed carts would fail on certain GBA models. Mario is actually running from a flashcard in that pic. I had a Supercard SD which would fail more often than not and later an M3 Perfect.

Anyways, a repro Mother 3 English cart would be awesome to have. I think I'll go and look for one.

Are reproduction carts really that expensive? That's a lot of money, but Mother 3 really is a special game.
There's blood on the staircase, there's blood in the hall; There's blood in the library where the lady did fall.
I'm dying to know what game is playing on the Profile pic GB Micro...lol

Haha, that's just Super Mario Advance 4. The black menu is the pause menu. ;)
A few years ago I got that GB Micro for cheap when the local electronic store was getting rid of old inventory.
