    Or just do it Big Clive -style, hold the solder and the soldering iron in one hand, and the stuff in the other... but that makes for four hands, because you need to hold the thing you want to solder to, and the thing you want to solder TO the thing you want to solder to.

    For now I try to put the wire on the board, then hold it in place using the iron, then quickly take the solder leaving the wire under the iron and do it that way.

    I just hold the wire with index and thumb since it allows for more precision and solder with index and middle so it's like holding chopsticks kinda, then iron on other hand, not really hard. As for the board, only an idiot doesn't use that anvil thingy that tightens to keep it in place (can't remember actual name of tool in English...)
