What if you go to an Italian restaurant? That's foreign cuisine. :P
No, I don't think I will.
I guess cuz I’m not a parent, and I grew up with a dad who worked at a Greek restraraunt, but why go somewhere unique just to get kraft Mac and cheese? :(
So you can enjoy the nice food and your kid can be basic. Wasted $13 on a foreign dish for my daughter who took one look at it and decide she didn't like it. Not worth it. :v
One of my cousins is like this. Not for her kid necessarily, she's just afraid to try out new food and kind of a picky eater, so when she goes away on holiday she tends to stick to what she's familiar with.
And kids are even more picky, so it's often not easy to get them to try out something new. And even if they try it they might be stubborn and say they don't like it just so they can get something they know instead.
They probably wouldn't be ordering chicken nuggets or macaroni if they didn't already know their child is picky and likely will refuse anything more exotic.
that just boggles my mind. i guess kids are just gonna be kids though. seems like such a crazy concept to me though
My aunt has a kid that won't eat anything that has an inside that he can't see. Seems pretty weird to me, but it's no use trying to convince him, it only results in screaming and crying.
It is what it is. Of course, no matter where I'm going.. If they have a burger I'm trying it.
@Memoir Agreed. At least if it sounds tasty.
I've had some amazing burgers on vacation.
wowza. i just remember being like 5 or so and my mom getting some kids meal for me at some mexican place and my dad looked me in the eye and was like "why you make me sad? why you make restaurant sad? why you make tacos sad?" lol. It was like a cardinal sin to get chicken nuggets from anywhere that wasnt chickfila.
But heck yeah, some places really have some interesting tastes on burgers
Haha, your dad is great.
The best burgers tend to be the ones that don't actually have much on them for me. I'm not sure how they get the meat to taste so great, but it's unlike any burger I've been able to make myself, even when I bought (fatty) steaks and ran them through a food processor to grind them up and made burgers out of that.
be it a foreign cuisine restaurant or just your ordinary local fast food I'd always pick something else over chicken nuggets, grilled/fried chicken, chicken soup and whatnot else that has chicken flavoring in it.
Can't stand the taste of it. only good thing about chicken is it's skin but then again that's too fattening. and unhealthy.
I sometimes pick fried chicken, but that's just because you can't get that literally ANYWHERE in my city, hardly even in my country, and it's too damn tasty.
I go to Singapore almost every year to visit my dad who moved there with his wife and kid, and I would never choose to go to a fast food place, but we sometimes end up at them anyway.
I don't exactly mind that much, it's just not what I would pick, I would rather have something more exotic with lots of spices in it. That's just the kind of food I prefer.
