Steam Deck can now be purchased without reservation, Dock is now available

Valve released a video today announcing they will be removing the wishlist for the Steam Deck, and will now be converting to a full-on purchase instead of a reservation list. This means anyone interested can now make a purchase directly of their preferred version of the Steam Deck right away, without waiting for a confirmation on any kind of reservation.

Not only that, but alongside this announcement, Valve also shared the news that their long-awaited Dock Station for the Steam Deck is now available as well.
People interested in purchasing a Steam Deck directly can visit Valve's Steam Deck official website, and for those who already have a Deck and want to get the official dock for it, they can purchase the dock in the website as well.

It includes a $25 power supply so the price is reasonable compared to similar docks. Although, I don't know why they didn't just sell it without for $65 since the Deck already comes with one.
I'll stick with Jsaux for now for like $40 more you can get a built in m.2 bay

I was looking forward to the dock, but I'm not impressed. $90 seems pretty high when you can get the same ports/features from any ~$30 dock on Amazon. A perfectly molded rubberized holder is not worth an extra $60 lol

Lmao $90 for the dock

Since the charger is $25, so the dock get reduced to $65, to be honest not really a bad price.

Jsaux is $50, and the official one is $65 if you minus the $25 for the extra charger.

I want a Steam Deck to write homebrew for, but at this point I'd rather wait for the gen 2. With my luck I'd probably buy one and then they'd announce the Deck Pro a month later with double the GPU power. When I do get one I'm going to port Arriba to Steam OS so I can make a nice cross platform file browser for Steam OS and Switch. Would be nice to get my save manager working cross platform too so we can share saves between the Switch and Deck but I don't know how I would handle that, since currently save files uploaded to the cloud are indexed via the Switch's Title ID for that game and there would be no way to line them up with Steam IDs.

Unfortunately, I can't even make any reservation for it in my country.
You think at some point it'll be sold in physical stores?

Valve should've made the charger optional it charges okay with the Jsaux dock as it is I don't always need a console in handheld mode that bad or I can you know just use the ac adapter it came with in other outlets.
