FASCINATING. It dosn't crash whenever i delete the entire database EXCEPT for Karoshi Mario... but look at this:
it doesn't actually show the preview image, but does somehow get partially linked to the database? But it shows the filename as the gamename and seems to be corrupted? somehow.

remove (Hack) from the game title and see if it works

like... the filename? I'll give it a try. Do note, (Hack) isn't part of the title in the XML file; it's weird that it's properly linking the game to the database but not properly displaying the assigned Title.

Edit: Tested, and still no luck. Still shows "players: 255" as the only field of information. Am i crazy or does it gotta be something weird in the database file itself?


What did you do to access that screen in your post without crashing WFL? Is the "Information" page all correct? Are you using my files? ... You're using 5.4.9 WFL aren't you?

I tested on 5.4.9 also and WFL has no problems with Karoshi Mario.

So this is another bug the newer releases have., their starting to mount up. No doubt 5.4.9 is more stable but it lacks ScummVM support.

OH incidentally, for some reason, one of my Wiis doesn't take forever to boot up when there's a 512GB SD card in the slot, and instead actually pops up BootMii and then properly loads the HBC as it is supposed to. This is a different brand of SD card than i had used before, so... that's interesting! Remember i was talking about problems with 128GB+ SD cards not properly loading the bootmii defaults on bootup on boot2 hacked wiis? For some reason it's not happening anymore.

ANyway that has nothing to do with WFL, just a strange curiosity.


Anyway, i am wondering why there's these problems on WFL 5.5.3 and not 5.4.9. I wonder if i should just downgrade to 5.4.9? Is there any bugs that 5.5.3 fixed that 5.4.9 has?

Does anyone use both FBA and MAME 2003? I was wondering if there is an easy way to break FBA out and not combine everything in arcade? Also, is there any value in using FBA over the MAME 2003 cores in this plugin pack?

Okay, here's a weird issue. I have "SMW - Karoshi Mario (Hack).zip", for the SNES. The file inside the zip has a CRC of 0EA1A6CB. Whenever i try to select this game from the Wiiflow menu, it crashes immediately, like, from within Wiiflow's menu. Like when you would normally select a game and it'd show you the up close box art and the snapshot? it just crashes and restarts. Nothing seems off with my snaps, cart disk, or XML, or the boxcover.png itself. Even when i delete the .wfc file associated with the ROM it still crashes. If you select another game and try to scroll over to it, it crashes. Seemingly just on this specific game. Is anyone else able to replicate the behavior?

Edit: I've managed to disconnect the ROM from my database files, and this problem doesn't happen. So i'll be uploading the relevant database files to try it for this ROM. Just copy the contents of the zip onto the root of your SD. I'd feel weird about publicly posting my ROM here though unless yall think it's fine. I gave the CRC for th .sfc file i have above.
Your snapshot SMW - Karoshi Mario.png seems corrupted.
Try another png to check if it's still crashing.

Actually, the only other plugin that has/had the date issue afaik is Wolfenstein which i have replaced with RA ECWolf in the next plugin pack release.

ECWolf plays all the Wolfenstein games/missions along with Super 3D Noah's Ark very well. The old plugin was shoddy and cumbersome.

Hi @RunningSnakes !

You may know how perfectionist I am when it's about the way how my hard drive must be well organized (game data files in the same directory, directories tree, name of directories and files, etc, etc).

So I've just found out that the Wii Abuse port has got an option, in order to specify the game data directory path at runtime. This option can be used as an argument using -datadir when calling the Wii Abuse dol application.

Consequently, the Wiiflow Abuse plugin could be :
[PLUGIN]
magic=41425553
dolfile=apps/abuse/abuse.dol
arguments=-datadir|{device}:/{path}
romdir=roms/abuse
filetypes=.game

In that way, we are able to move the Abuse DATA directory wherever we want on the hard drive, in the roms/abuse directory for instance, like in the plugin above (and not anymore in the apps/abuse directory). Pay attention to : with such an update in the plugin, the Abuse.game dummy file must be in the DATA directory itself, and the SAVE directory must remain anyway in the apps/abuse directory. I've updated the Wiiflow Abuse plugin, and moved the Abuse DATA directory, in that way in my own installation, and it works just fine.

Feel free to use this finding, if you care game data files organisation as much as I do ;-)

Hello WiiFlow Lite enthusiasts.

It's been 3 months since the last plugin pack update release, with 1500+ downloads. I wouldn't say V11 is outdated, but there have been emulator updates and a few inclusions that need to be added to the pack.

@niuus and @Tanooki16 have released major updates to their emulators. Sonic CD, ECWolf, OpenBOR and a few other plugins have been added/re-entered.

I have been waiting for RA to update to 1.11. But after almost 5 months of testing nightly releases, it is clear to me, Sega is not close to be in working order.

So, without getting behind the 8-Ball any further, i would like to update to V12 within the next few weeks. At this point, it will not be a major plugin update, only to keep things current.

If you have any questions, suggestions, complaints, please post.

Update to V12 within the next day.

I hope there are not many errors, as this release is pretty concrete. Which means i do not intend to make any edits/fixes, unless there are glaring mistakes.

I did not include your change regarding Abuse plugin. It is a nice alternative, but believe changing this will only cause confusion. I think moving the Data directory from the native folder offers no improvement.

I dId have a question regarding LedHead. Is it possible you could modify version 1.2 for WFL plugins like you did for version 1.1?

Not sure that I will be able to do it soon. Maybe could you try to reach out Nebiun, the LEDhead’s publisher on Github, and ask him gently to include my enhancement for Wiiflow in his/her official release?… The modified source code may still be attached to my original post about LEDhead for Wiiflow.
