Well, you'd hope so with a £1k+ 28gb graphic card just to run the same base textures slightly higher, with some other options poorly optimised and set to max.
And the game not really looking much different from the console version.
But it makes sense to delay pc ports, at least the option is there for the pc only master race, those who want to play these console games, they're likely to be console gamers too and won't be arsed, they'll just buy the game and enjoy it.
By "better" I don't just mean textures, framerate, etc. But also things like bugfixes or maybe include DLC as a 'GTOY' edition.
It also doesn't make sense IMO unless this move does in fact cause people to buy PS5s instead of waiting for the PC port, there's rumours flying around of Sony creating their own launcher, in which case they wouldn't even have the 30% to worry about on e.g. Steam.
Oh course, the live services games gotta have all the priority. But I suppose I understand them, most live at best for one year, if not less, then are shutdown, gotta make all the cash you can while it still goes :V

Honestly, if you got a good pc and don't care about playing online, all of them exclusives are perfectly playable on a computer, so... really no reason to get the console at all, lmao.
Illegally we can, but buying legitimately is where the issue lies as Nintendo is still locked to their console (Switch only at this point, the 3DS and Wii U are basically dead).
Buying Nintendo games on GOG/Steam would be awesome. Plus, I'm so tired of the Nin10yearolds saying "NiNtEnDo GaMeS nEvEr LoSe ThEiR vAlUe!!" *sigh*
yep and hoping that more pc players would go and buy the ps5 for those exclusives

But they're somehow all still a distant fourth, fifth, and sixth to EA, Blizzard, and Epic (Tencent).
And this is why I just pirate everything. All of the companies are shit and I don't care to support them anymore.
More than likely they have the ports ready at launch - no point in not developing the games with multiple platforms in mind if that's the masterplan anyway. So yeah, the ports should be better if they aren't an afterthought.
What it also means is that PC is getting more for less, and all patched up at that. That's a good trade-off in my book.

Meh, lots of indie devs doing good things still, and a few select AAA devs I can count on to consistently produce quality stuff (mostly FromSoft and Larian).
We have enough going on in the master race to not be the least concerned about any console exclusives. Hell, due to emulation we can play ALL Nintendo exclusives at higher framerates and resolution and more previous gen Xbox and PS "exclusives" than any Xbox or PS. Nor can any console due even a fraction of what our PCs can do outside of gaming. When has there ever been a good reason to own a PS5?
Could say this about every console but the Switch at this point. Neither the Xbox Series X nor PS5 have much more good exclusives.
Arguably even even the Switch isn't a must - it's relatively easy to emulate. That's a current Nintendo system, and you can emulate it right now.
I'm hoping Nintendo won't stop with the gimmicks, though. The Switch is a nice form factor and all that, but every time I pick up my 3DS I get the sense that we're missing something with a device this... generic.

i can wait a year to play games. back in the days before there was a huge catalog of top tier games people couldnt wait but the market has changed. exclusives only work if you have special developer tools that only work for that OS. that goes against the basics of cross platform programming and alot of the main functions and addons of developer softwares is writing code once and letting the developer tools take care of compatibility.
i dont see game developers going back to exclusives unless they pay top $$ to these developers with the expectation of not getting that money back off the game itself but off console sales.

FOMO. Fear of missing out. Simple as that.
Tempt a guy to get the PS5 and the exclusive asap to be able to immediately play the game.
If you got patience and don't mind waiting, then, well, eventually the game will be on PC shrug

I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
