Take a journey back to the past with our limited-time retro, throwback style!

This nostalgic GBAtemp style harkens back to GBAtemp's past and is a recreation of the forum style used between 2002 and 2006. While not totally accurate, we thought it would be a fun way to browse GBAtemp as we celebrate our 20th anniversary.

Yes, pips are also making a return! You'll find them proudly displayed on your profile and next to posts replacing the XP level bar on this style (don't worry, you'll still accumulate and gain XP even if you're using the throwback style).

Man, I had an account back in the days. Sadly it doesn't seem to exist any more (so I created this account). I don't want to cause work, but would it be possible to recover it somehow? I mean, I know it's probably lost in the sands of time, but having the original "Joined" date would be cool (I had a different user name back then, but I can still remember it, the password, and at least paraphrase my silly custom title...)

    @Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

    Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

    @Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

    Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
