I need help. Following a guide and using winuae on PC, I managed to create a hard disk with whload installed and through him I can start the lha files by decompressing them in a folder that I mount as df1, but on uae4all2 I can not do it: I mount the hard disk and I start on the emulator but I can not simultaneously mount the folder as df1 (because the emulator makes you choose only one type at a time, or folder or file) Does anyone have an idea?
I do not really understand what you want to do.
What is your HDD ? An HDF file ? A directory ? Why do you want to mount a directory as a floppy drive as it is already usable from your workbench ?

I create an HD as a file hdf and mount with uae4all2 and It worked but under winuae i can mount file and folder in the same time (so i mount the file as hd0 and folder as hd1 where i put unzipped lha)

I tested and it works on my side :

1) Main menu : select "HardDisk and memory options"
2) HD file1 : select the hdf you want as boot system
3) HD dir : go to the folder you want to add and press minus ("-")

You need to select with minus the directory itself, do not go inside.

Start the emulation and enjoy.

Yes you're right, I'm stupid! I understood that the boot option between off dir and file forced to use only one type of archive and I did not mount the folder with the minus key ..... Works!! Thanks again

Hi @rsn8887 , great emulator, it works like a dream. :)

I'm wondering if it's possible to create forwarders to games directly on the Switch dashboard, so to launch games quickly.
Does the emulator accept any parameter, like the path of the games config files?

Thanks.

I made a new release of UAE4All2 for Switch and Vita with Forwarder / Custom Bubble support:

Post automatically merged:

Quick update to fix touch input on Switch (broke in 2.10 because Touch ID changed from 0 to 1 in latest SDL2):

Thanks for this. I installed the latest version today and created my own NSP for SWOS (using a HDF of the 23/24 version) but when I load the game using the forwarder on the Switch there's a pretty significant performance hit. The game is super sluggish and the sound is very stuttery.

However, when I load UAE4All2 with the same HDF, the game runs at full speed. Is this to be expected? If so, I think SWOS is unsuited to using a forwarder.

That's interesting. No, this is not expected. Right now, I have no explanation why the performance could be different, since the forwarder just loads the config as if you yourself would have loaded it. Of course, there might still be a bug. Can you upload or message me your .conf file that you use with the forwarder? I will try to test it myself later today.

One quick question: Are you sure you are using the exact same config in both cases? Instead of loading UAE4All2 with the same HDF, try loading the same exact same config file that you also use with the forwarder, and check performance.

You can also check the following way: When you use the forwarder and the game runs slow, open the UAE4All2 menu and check that all options that affect performance are correct: CPU is 68020 etc. Compare those options with the case when the game runs fast, and see if there's any difference.
