I want to delete it.

Why do I want to delete it? Because I have a stupid problem.

It's not because it was a stupid pointless post that I only made to try and increase my post count (even though that's exactly what it was).

It's because my post count is 9, you see.
My post count has been 9 for about 5 years.

So I only post on the Edge of the Forum. Because all the posts here are meaningless and don't increase my post count. I never want to have more than 9 posts.

But now I am tempted to make a post in another part of the forum.... For this upcoming contest full of Fabulous Prizes!!!

... but I can't enter it because of my very stupid problem.

My post count would go over 9 if I posted in a thread to enter that contest.....

Even worse, it looks like there will be 4 different threads where I would have to post.
That would make my post count go all the way to.... **counts on fingers** 14

So that's why I wish my old spam post could be deleted, to decrease my post count to 8 so I could then post in one of the contest threads to enter for a chance to win Fabulous Prizes!!!

Well, I guess I really need to examine my priorities....

Should I stupidly cling to a completely meaningless, pointless, worthless number in order to have "9 posts" for absolutely no reason whatsoever....
Or should I just say, "to hell with it," and post in the contest threads for a chance to win some completely amazing Fabulous Prizes!!!! for free?

Just click on the report button under each comment you want to remove, and type that you want the comment to be removed in the reason box.

Have you tried and they refused your request?
Though tbh this is a waste of everyone's time including yours, why not forget about this "9 messages" thing during the Raffle season until it ends, after that subtract the amount of posts you made ever since and leave only "9", by clicking that report button..

The messages in this thread are increasing your post count also, so even if you got one post deleted it would still be over 9 unless you got this thread deleted as well.

If you want a message deleted, report it and state why. If they reject it, then that's just how it goes and you should respect it. Creating this thread is just making your problem worse.

Well, thank you @linuxares , that was actually very nice of you....

But @FAST6191 ... I posted this in the Edge of the Forum because it was meant to be a silly stupid entertaining post (but still maybe half serious), and more importantly, it would not have increased my post count there, heh.

You moving it here may have gotten it the attention that ended up being helpful for me (though it confused some people here, with them thinking I was fully serious and intentionally increasing my post count), but unfortunately it did also increase my post count now that it's in a legitimate area of the forum, hah.

So when linuxares deleted that old pointless post, my count went down to 8 (yay!), but then having this thread moved away from EOF to here bumped my count by +2 (for my 2 prior posts here)... to 10.... And now after making this post, it'll be 11!

I guess since this is in the Suggestion area, my suggestion would be to let members delete their own posts....

But actually, could you maybe please move this back to the Edge of the Forum so that I can shed these unwanted posts? Does this post count make me look fat??

You speak as though I was unaware of such consequences, or alternatively one does not support delusions.

As far as deleting posts that has come up quite a few times before. Short version. Never gonna happen. Longer version. Between database concerns (it does add load and issues), readability concerns, account hijacks and more "just report it and the mods will handle it" is the far easier method.

We often follow what people request believe it or not. Not like delete whole threads when good information is in it for example, but like yours being a bit "memey" we're often fine to delete if you ask us nicely! We aren't that mean... except @Chary she steals watermelons and cookies!
