Can you backup your NAND that you had before hacking your system and restore it after hacks?

Hi,
I'm about to hack my childhood 3DS which I had previously left untouched so I can use it as my main one, considering that my other New 3DS I hacked a long time ago broke. I don't know if any new hacks have come out since that allow you to just keep your data and jailbreak your 3DS, but I just want to know if it is possible to keep my data I currently have on my childhood 3DS (for obvious reasons) and hack it at the same time so I can just play backups of my games for convenience.

I think an unsafe restore will do what you're asking. you can do so in godmode. it will be ask though you didn't install b9s afaik. though, I'm not at expert at this.

Installing custom firmware will not erase anything. Just refer to The Guide
https://3ds.hacks.guide/

If you have further questions or problems, just ask again.

Good luck and have fun!

You can just ignore the following – it is for purists

As for the NAND backup before hacking: Yes, this is possible with ntrboot. Starting GodMode9 with ntrboot, answering the question about embedded backup with "No" will allow backing up a perfectly unmodified NAND to SD.
Remember to answer the question about embedded backup with "Yes" next time starting GodMode9.

Full or forced NAND restore can bring the console to the previous state any time – though I wouldn't recommend doing it.[/HR]
