I recently was trying to add the pretend network patches to my wii u and didn't have any account slots left. All the other account had nnid's and passwords from old friends and I couldn't remove them. So I removed 1 account by deleting it folder in usr/save/act and then it removed EVERY user and left with one ??? user. Although, I could still see them in the quick start game pad menu. I did have a nand backup so I tried to restore it with everywhere and now it will power on but won't display anything on game pad or TV. I know Kafluke made a tutorial for this but it was last checked 4 years ago. Hlep

Have you tried this tool?:

https://github.com/GaryOderNichts/recovery_menu

ftpiiu everywhere is known to have problems with data transfer (at least the older versions)
So rather use wupserver.
If it still doesn't work then it's probably because of your nand backup..........

So now its displaying on the gamepad but not getting past "Wii U Menu", BUT when I plug in the pi pico with the recovery menu, displays on tv missing pixels, power button flashes pink and both screens go black.

accounts are stored in usr/save/system/act iirc. repopulate them. if they're indexed somewhere else, I don't know what to do. the persisid contains most of the info about accounts, and I think there may be another file that determines the account number, so normally it's 80000001 iirc, but you can manipulate it with this file. I can't recall if you have to use 80000000 for it to topple over to the 1 or not. I read something about this on here.
