Hello gbatemp,

I currently have a problem with my New Nintendo 2DS XL with Luma3DS, GodMode9 and version 1.16.0-49E in which whenever my 8GB Micro SD Card is inserted in the console, it simply refuses to boot/go to the home menu.

I'm making this post after searching for an answer here, but I simply couldn't quite find an answer.

I have tried the latest Luma3DS, but it still doesn't boot, and I don't have a flashcard.

Any help will be appreciated.

Does the system boots to the home menu when the sd card is not inserted?
forgotten to mention that it gives a blue light
The blue stays on with the black screen, or does it fade after 2~3 secs?
So simply, the system is not recognizing the sd card, and that's how it can't either read boot.firm (Luma3DS) from the sd card, and how you couldn't perform a CTRTransfer?
Did this issue occur randomly? And you never had any errors sd card issues in the past?
You should test the sd card with h2testw if you haven't already. Format it as FAT32 32kb clusters before and after the test. When it passes the test, format it and copy latest Luma3DS to the root of the sdcard and nothing else, and try again.
If the issue persists, you might have to change the sd card reader..

I have the same problem. This is exactly my problem. I decided to install the CFW on my N3ds XL last Monday and everything is good. Im on 11.16 btw. but today I opened my N3ds xl to change the analog stick after I put it back everything and I turned on I noticed it just stuck on blackscreen although there is a blue light. I left more than 20mins and it still in blackscreen with blue light.
I removed my SD card and it works perfectly fine. I tried different microsd they are all in Fat32 format but none of them work. SO IN SHORT - MY N3DS XL ONLY WORKS WITHOUT SD CARD. If I insert my SD CARD it will stuck on blackscreen with bluelight Please help :( Did I brick my N3ds Sd card slot? or is this a bug on 11.16?
