I mean just replace 90DNS with exospehere, exosphere is blanking your serial number, so it doesn't nag you about update.
Ah ok, I get what you mean now. I'll be sure to do that. However, my Switch is now back in flight mode again and the nagging persists. Can I stop the nagging that's currently bothering me in flight mode?

Should be able to with exosphere.
Probably just me being a noob, but I don't get it. How does that fix the nagging? I'm not connected to internet anymore and the nagging is still there, leading me to think there's something on my system and there's no point anymore in blocking something that's coming at me from internet.

The update versions available for all games are included with the firmware. There’s no way to block it…it’s already inside your switch.

Download and install the update nsp from the same place you got your base nsp and the nag will go away.

It essentially block communication with Nintendo server, basically treating your unit like a banned unit, changing the exosphere config revert you back to original state. How come you are on a such low firmware? SX OS?

It's about the firmware update and that prompt shows up on opening every game, even those who have their latest updates installed.

OK, so whatever is causing the nagging is still present on the system, but it's rendered ineffective because I'd trick the system into treating it like a banned Switch? If that's the case, I'll give this a try.

Cause if you use 90DNS it doesn't blank out the serial number, so it nag you about update, only blanking out serial number where it would not nagged you, Im not sure 100% sure if it would help in your case as it already nag you about update.

That’s not good. That means it successfully talked to Ninty. @Hayato213 is correct in the way you block it using exosphere and dns:mitm.

now that you’ve connected I believe you can reset the nag by entering into maintenance mode and restarting after steps 1 and 2 (but NOT step 3…just reboot)

It would seem I messsed up there, yes. The problem is, I can't do this because I have a modchipped Mariko Switch. Or rather, I can't take the risk. I don't understand the why and how behind it, but I was explicitely warned to NEVER press POWER and the +/- volume buttons lest I want to brick my Switch (apparantly it works differently when you use a modchip instead of a softmod).

Update: I tried exosphere out, but as I feared, it's too late already. The nag is in the system and I'm stuck because as far as I know the Mariko Switch - for whom the rules seem to be different from the regular softmodded Switch almost everyone uses - can't enter maintenance mode via POWER + volume buttons.

I have a Mariko beside me with an hwfly modchip. Going to try to enter maintenance mode and see if I brick it.

E: here goes nothing!

held +/- plus power and successfully entered maint mode on my Mariko.

E2: oh shit!

E3: Just kidding…works like a champ

Well, I gotta say I'm happy to be wrong for a change!

One more question before I'm going to do this as well. I use an emuMMC and also got the nag issue on my emuMMC (emuNAND, emuCFW, whatever the actual term is). I currently set Hekate to autoboot the emuMMC. Do I need to start holding +/- and power once the emuMMC launches from Hekate or before that?

You hold down +/- before you tap power. I don’t believe it’s going to matter. Hoping this works for you (and hope you’re not already banned anyway.)

Just be to clear, that's when booting a powered off Switch or right after Hekate started booting the emuMMC?

Yeah, would be nice if I'm not banned, but since I don't really care about playing online I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Start from powered off switch. You can power it off by holding the power button for 12 seconds.

I don't know where to ask actually, so I decide to just ask here.
There's an eShop sale going on right now, so my question is about that racing game or so.

What is the name of the racing game with lots of neon lights or something. Heard about that a long time ago, I hope I explained well.

I mean, Mario Kart 8 is pretty neon and flashy, but it’s so popular I can’t imagine that’s what you’re talking about…

Crash Team Racing has some colorful tracks…

Cruisin’ Blast?

Sonic Team Racing?

Ohhhh…Next Penelope?

Penelope…final answer.

did I win?

I would say Horizon Chase Turbo, which is a nice game. If I'm wrong, it ought to be in that Nintendolife list that @binkinator provided.
