Hi, i just made an emummc after realising i've been using sysnand the whole time. I want to enable my sysnand to go online. Upon logging into the switch stock firmware for the first time, it requires that everything on the sd card be deleted since it "is being used with another switch console or was used with this console before it was formatted". I have no problem with this, my memory card is fully backed up on my pc, i just have 2 questions: will this format my card and delete my emuMMC, and will I have to do this every time i boot into my clean sysNAND?

Need a clean NAND to go online, deleting files won't prevent a ban if your sysnand is dirty.

I installed a game and then installed its update afterwards, however both show up as if they are different titles with a cloud symbol above the update. What went wrong here? As far as I can tell, both the main game (XCI) and update (NSP) are correct.

Then you must have installed one game with the wrong update probably if you got the correct signature patches.

Maybe, are your other games working?
Yes, everything else works fine.

A different question. I have a Mariko switch with a modchip and was stupid enough to think that I could safely disable flight mode and use FTP to transfer some save files back and forth. Figured as long as I took precautions like 90DNS that everything should be fine.

Now every game I open I get the "Ready to start system update. The update will not take long. Update now?" prompt. While I can ignore it, I want it gone because it's too risky on the off-change I press start by accident. And that button is always highlighted first, so an accidental double-click is very possible.

How do I get rid of this prompt? From what I've been told when my Switch got modded, is that the autoRCM trick with the volume buttons is an absolute no-go for a modchipped Mariko Switch that would brick it or something along those lines.

That might be it, then. Perhaps it's the wrong region as this particular game is released under multiple title IDs.

For example if you installed only the game update obviously that won't work, I accidently did that recently for Life is Strange Remastered Collection, not releazing I was looking for Life is strange before the storm update.

In this case it was Yooka-Laylee, but it turns out there's multiple region versions of it, e.g. EU and US. It seems most likely like the main game and update don't match regions here and therefore show up as two different titles.

You can use exosphere instead of 90DNS,

https://github.com/sthetix/HATS/releases/tag/1.3.2
https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/releases/tag/1.3.2

You can either grab the HATS pack, or use the standalone Atmosphere.

Your update must match exactly the base game to be accepted. For Yooka-Laylee (US version), the id is 0100F110029C8000 for the xci, and it should be 0100F110029C8800 for the update. Updates always end with 800, and base games with 000.

You mean update Atmosphere to counter the system update ready notice? I'll need to think about that... I am still somewhere on firmware 11-ish (dunno the exact number on top of my head). I was not planning to update yet, so if I can just get rid of the prompt, then that'd be great. Do you know how I can do this without the recovery mode / volume -/+ button trick?

I mean just replace 90DNS with exosphere, exosphere is blanking your serial number, so it doesn't nag you about update.
