GOG celebrates 14th anniversary with new giveaway and adds 'Skyrim' to its library

Today marks the 14th anniversary of online video game storefront GOG which has had as mission games preservation - both new and old - by making them DRM-free. To celebrate the event, the company is giving away Master of Magic Classic and has launched an anniversary sale that includes popular titles such as Fallout New Vegas and Knights of the Old Republic II. GOG has also announced that it is adding The Elder Scrolls V to its library and currently comes with a discount.

The 14th GOG Anniversary that will last until October 9th, 2022, 10 PM UTC.

Not only is celebrating the 14th anniversary weird in its own right. Bringing up Skyrim like it's newsworthy is what boggles my mind. It's just another platform to purchase on. Not to mention the game just doesn't have the hold it did 10 years ago. The memes are long dead, and I can't imagine enough people are buying it to make it a worthwhile topic of discussion.

lol i'm buying it again and I literally own it on steam. I've been WAITING for a DRM free EXE for fucking years, because Bethesda keeps fucking my game up with stupid updates I don't need.

Uhhhhhhhh, is it? It runs just fine for me. New Vegas was a pain to run on PCs back in the day at launch too just because it was hastily coded due to Bethesda's time frames and shit, but I believe you can fix that with things like NVAC and the stutter remover mods.
