I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

But Google is discontinuing Google Stadia!
The reasons being it haven't gotten the response they've hoped for say Phil Harrison

"A few years ago, we also launched a consumer gaming service, Stadia. And while Stadia's approach to streaming games for consumers was built on a strong technology foundation, it hasn't gained the traction with users that we expected so we’ve made the difficult decision to begin winding down our Stadia streaming service."

Google will shut down the service in the middle of January 2023, and will refund all games and addons been bought on Google Stadia

"We’re grateful to the dedicated Stadia players that have been with us from the start. We will be refunding all Stadia hardware purchases made through the Google Store, and all game and add-on content purchases made through the Stadia store. Players will continue to have access to their games library and play through January 18, 2023 so they can complete final play sessions. We expect to have the majority of refunds completed by mid-January, 2023. We have more details for players on this process on our Help Center."

Genuinely surprised they’re refunding people. Fair play on that. I do think cloud gaming does have a future to some extent, but subscription services to play games you already own anywhere (like GeForce Now) and huge established game libraries (like Game Pass) just do it better than Stadia ever could.

Portable Streaming Console probably going to fail just like the Stadia. Google it if you want to know
Probably, but it can be used for Android gaming.

However, if you have a pretty powerful phone/tablet then that's kind of pointless. Just OTG/BT a controller and you're good to go!

It's laughingly bad performance on it.
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G (SD720G)
  • Octa-core CPU up to 2.3GHz
  • Internal memory: 64 GB (ROM)
Here are for example phones with said chipset: https://www.gizmotimes.com/lists/smartphones-powered-by-snapdragon-720g/42767

Atleast with the phones, you can also call and take photos with it. And gasp, it got a sim-slot!

Only 64GB? That's pretty tiny.

Even when the Switch launched with 32GB I was kind of annoyed as I knew I'd need more space due to downloads.
