It’s up to you but honestly this port is really good and I for myself am satisfied with it, I actually almost forgot radfordhound was making one until earlier today, I don’t know if he’s still interested in releasing it at this point or not.
Just wanted to say thank you to the both of you. I have the game all set up with the installer forwarder channel and everything is running fine.It has been so long that Clownacy added support for additional controllers and managed to make the special stages run near full speed (still using SDL2 by the way), which was two of the of the main points of Radfordhound's port.
Also, nothing is preventing you from playing Clownacy's port now and then installing Radfordhound's port later when it is available.
Yeah, I'm also having trouble making mods work. All I want is this simple mod to load, but I can't seem to figure it out.How do I load mods with this port?
I want to try out this one:

The Patches folder isn't necessary, I'm just interested in the rest of the stuff inside the Sonic 3 Mania folder.
Second, honestly this mod should just be merged with this port natively.Yeah, I'm also having trouble making mods work. All I want is this simple mod to load, but I can't seem to figure it out.

Edit: to get mods to work you need to enable dev menu in the settings.ini first, then copy the mods that you want to use to [SD root]/RSDK/v5/mods/[your mod] then when you turn on the game tap the top left of the gamepad screen to bring up the dev menu, at the bottom above exit there should be an option for mods, select it then toggle through your mods and enable the ones you want to use then go back and click resume, it should reboot the game with your mods enabled.
Edit 2: you can disable dev menu afterwards if you wish as your enabled mods will save until you disable them again or delete the newly created config file, you can also use said file to bypass versions of Mania that don’t enable dev menu *cough*3ds*cough* to enable your mods on them.
no, you have to download the settings.ini. I had the same problem a few weeks ago when I tested out the wuhb. The settings.ini file is automatically generated by Mania?
I don't recall having anything outside of the .rsdk in the v5 folder, which might also explain why I only seem to be getting default Mania without the Plus expansion.
btw, the settings.ini is on the port's github. I'm not sure if it's uploaded with each new release, but it's at least with one of them. The settings.ini file is automatically generated by Mania?

Thanks a lot @NinStar!I forgot to mention this time, but yesterday I had updated the attachments to v1.0.1.
Only if the game's source code is out there.A very good work, thank you again ! ^^.
Is it possible to do the same with Sonic Generations ?
