nintendont needs iso, a gcm file is an iso you can just rename the extension part to iso on your pc by editing the extension of the file.

you can trim the iso with dmtollbox make sure to select 32k alligment to not break games, the best compatibility is always full 1.35gb isos to make sure matching redump md5.
Okay, I finally have the Nintendont forwarder installed on my main menu. But when I launch it, it tells me boot.dol is missing. Do you know what I may have done wrong?

edit: i may have gotten it. i need nintendont for the vwii, as the forwareder i installed is just that, a forwarder, and not nintendont itself.

you still need nintendont files on the sd card
in sd:apps/nintendont/boot.dol

I made a Nintendont forwarder for aroma. unfortunately, I could find no way to enable gamepad support. I'm going to crash eventually, didn't sleep last night, mind racing, but I got a lot of things figured out.

edit: btw, you need the vwii forwarder installed for this to work otherwise the system restarts. that's why I asked for that before.

For the life of me I can't get my wavebird to work on nintendont on Wii u. I have a generic GC controller adapter. Works perfect on switch with smash. It looks like it's connected to Wii U (lights flash with input). But when I load vwii and nintendont, controller never recognized. I downloaded the controllers.zip from GitHub, put in root controllers folder. Still nothing. Is there something I'm missing? Do I have to really create my own ini? It should be identical to the 4 port GC adapter.
Also I can't update Nintendo, titles.txt, or controllers.zip from within the Nintendont app. I even tried an older 'stable' version. Nothing downloads, just hangs and resets after some time

you do not need anything extra for the wavebird. I don't know what could be wrong, but I know I've gotten mine to work. the numbers are faded badly on on the receiver, so it's hard to tell if you're even using the same channel, but I got it.

Do you know which .ini file you use for the adapter? Is yours the official or generic?
I would like to know how nintendont uses these .ini and if they are all just put into the root/controllers/ folder and then it automatically finds and applies one to your controller you have connected?

I just manually extracted the controllers.zip.... should I only use one specific .ini for the generic adapter? Does someone know which one on the GitHub this .ini should be?

Hello ya'll, I'm trying to run tales of symphonia (spain ver) with nintendont, I've checked the compatibility list and it said it wouldn't work on american consoles, but it worked with mine, the only problem is that for some reason when I go to the map the camera starts to move and to spin to the right when I'm not even touching the controller, I've heard it could be a settings problem but I prefer to ask here how to solve it just to be sure, I'm using the smash gc controller and its adapter btw.

EDIT: Ok I managed to solve the problem and for anyone who has the same and find this, for some reason the wii controller stays on when you start any GC game on nintendont and the thing is that the game understands the wii controller as another controller so when you move it it's like you're controlling the c stick so if you turn it off it solves perfectly, I feel dumb but hey the more you know.

nintendont is region free so any game from any region works on any console... all you need is a compatible tv to play pal 50 games if they are 50hz only for instance and such. also solo wiimote shuts down when you start games, now if you have a Classic controller or a nunchuck connected to the wiimote then it will be considered a regular controller and be used by nintendont.

alright, L rotates the camera back behind Mario, and R sprays water. hope that's what you wanted:

Sorry for bringing this up again after so much time. I was playing Better Wind Waker the other day, and found a strange bug with what seems to be a remnant of the Minus button code switching layouts.

If you press Minus, the Gamecube's Y button (A button on the Gamepad's new layout) stops working.
Only if you press Minus again, it seems to respond then.
Maybe some IF definition got leftover that might be causing this in the code?

if you change it how you like it, I'll try to compile it again. I haven't really messed with nintendont at all.

Took a peek at the latest PADReadGC.c code, and I think I forgot to comment out lines 140-145 for the Gamepad (WIIDRC_BUTTON_MINUS stuff).
This new PadReadGC should do it I believe.

I'm not sure if the versions of rules makes a difference, but check if you can exit correctly. that was the issue plaguing us before, where it would freeze. I used the latest rules, so I guess we shall see.

Just tested this new build, and indeed, the issue with Minus blocking off the Gamecube's Y button upon press is now resolved.
It also goes back to the WiiU Menu normally by pressing Home, so it's working properly now, thanks for the compilation!

yeah, I changed the devkitPPC, ARM, and libogc to that it mentioned. that's the reason it was freezing before with other builds upon exiting. it requires specific versions that @SaulFabre figured out.

EDIT: Fixed! Click here for a step by step guide!

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this, or if I should make a new one, but I ripped my copy of Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II and injected it into a Wii U channel with Wii U USB Helper. The game plays perfectly and looks great, but the problem is, I can't get Nintendont's BBA emulation to work so I can play online with the private server. I tried launching Nintendont through the vWii Homebrew Channel, and turned the setting on, but the game still says the hardware isn't connected when I try to set up the network. Is there any way to fix this so I can keep my Wii U channel for convenience and ability to use the gamepad?
