I was under the false impression that nothing was actually stolen and there was only footage leaked. That's cleared up now, I know he tried to blackmail them with their own source code. Regardless, people need to stop making stupid analogies like this, Rockstar is not an individual. They're a massive corporation which has more than enough resources to secure their assets. Maybe now they'll realize that's one corner they shouldn't be cutting.

I find the whole event funny as ....... I've always joked that Since GTA5 first release , i have gotten married , had a kid , purchased a unit , had another kid and finally purchased a house. It feels like a lifetime ago when gta ( Rockstar ) wasn't about shark cards or whatever.

So they can cry me a river about the whole event , they been milking past glories for far too long. I hope the next game is deadset revolutionary for the time they have had

Yeah even if we take that bad analogy to its logical conclusion, it's as though Rockstar not only failed to lock the door, but also left it wide open. I always lock my door, there's always somebody home, and I've got both cameras and weapons.

If a 17-year-old got in, any hacker with more experience and the same amount of motivation could also get in. And if user account data (including addresses and CC numbers) had been stolen and sold to the highest bidder, Rockstar would be dealing with a class action lawsuit against them. There's a big difference in standards and expectations between one individual and a corporation that tons of individuals trust with their data.

Who actually gives a fuck about GTA6, to even think its been all these years (since the PS3/360) to see a new GTA game and it looks like this sack of shit.

Looks exactly the same as GTA5, I bet its just a mod to replace models, textures etc to make these kids think its a different game set in Vice City.
