@Olmectron is the uploader of it, so he'll need to allow permission.
Also, I recommend using NDSForwarder instead, unless the game is on a flashcard.
I got to add, the file is not protected.

Whatever Dropbox asks about an account is they wanting people to create Dropbox accounts. It can simply be ignored and the file downloads without any kind of login.

Hey there. Just bumping this issue of mine back up one last time, just to see if anyone has any more ideas to make this ROM work with a forwarder.

Here's the key points:

  • Starquake DS loads and plays fine when booted from within TwilightMenu++ on both N3DS and O3DS
  • On N3DS using a forwarder, Starquake DS's blue “logo” screen shows up (so the rom does successfully boot), but then I only see a black screen after that.
On O3DS using a forwarder, Starquake DS boots and is playable, but the touchscreen is sized to the original resolution, not the full-screen resolution of the O3DS.
  • Following this guide caused no changes to behavior: https://3ds.hacks.guide/troubleshoo...ken-or-has-been-replaced-with-flipnote-studio
  • Even though using Forwarder3-DS and YANBF successfully generated forwarders, using NDS Forwarder Generator via the Homebrew app to create a forwarder threw an error. Here it is:
Code:
info: [Config]Found sdcard.fwd on romfs
info: [Config]Checking SD for templates
info: [Config]deduplicating
info: [Builder]sdcard not found. Using built in template.
info: [Builder]sdcard not found. Using built in template.
info: [Builder]looking for banner at /roms/nds/Starquake.bin
info: [Builder]looking for banner at sdmc:/3ds/forwarder/banners/Starquake.bin
info: [Builder]looking for custom bmp icon at sdmc:/3ds/forwarder/icons/Starquake.bmp
error: [Builder]NDS file contains no banner. This file is not supported.
error: [Builder]Failed to create forwarder.

Hello all. I tried the steps for the NDS Forwarding but when I try to open the DS game on the home screen I get the error message due to the "Volume" issue that was on the instructions:
"MacOS users: The automatic path is incorrect since it includes "/Volumes/(cardname)/" at the start. Please remove that part."

My question is how to I remove the "Volumes" part in the directory? Do I uncheck the Automatically set Rom Path in the forwarder3_DS app? or something else?

Thank you.

The simplest way is to just not use this, use ndsForwarder instead.

If you want to use this though you just need to edit the path when making the forwarder, I think there's a "use custom path" or so option somewhere.

I'm getting an error saying the following

[Start failed. Eerror 1
/_nds/ntr-forwarder/sdcard.nds
not found.

Please get this file from
the SD forwarder pack, in
"for SD card root/_nds/
ntr-forwarder"]

I have all the files mentioned in the folders it asks for but it still does not work.
Why and how do I fix it?

Try install DS Forwarder Packs from Universal-Updater, that'll ensure they're in the right place.

Speaking of the DS Forwarder Packs, which version of sdcard.nds is included in the Universal Update pack? I updated it the other day and the "Forced" Widescreen feature was gone while recompiling it from sources and replacing the sdcard.nds manually got it back.
It's as if the installed version from UU is not actually the latest

It'll be the version listed as the version on the info page, if that's not the latest then it probably failed to fetch the Universal-DB UniStore somehow, either you turned off autoupdate or opened UU before you were connected to the internet.

You can force it to update by selecting the update icon from the Select UniStore menu.

Something funky is going on. I deleted sdcard.nds, forced update Universal Updater and then reinstalled again the DS Forwarder Packs. The feature wasn't there.
So I copied the installed sdcard.nds and checked its MD5 hash which I then compared to the releases in the NTR_Forwarder github repo.
The hash is the one from "GitHub Release #6" (0fe410508809f2f2cb07bcb74fda400c).

So for some reason the old file keeps being picked up.

EDIT: You can also see the file linked in the UU page is https://github.com/RocketRobz/NTR_F...D-6/DS.Game.Forwarder.pack.DSi.3DS.SD.Card.7z

Note that "SD-6", if I manually put "SD-10" I get the latest release.

Oh whoops it seems I had hardcoded SD-6 into the URL for some reason, I've updated it now to use the always latest link. Should be updated in a couple hours at most depending on if it gets included in the priority update.

Edit: Looks like "SD Forwarder Packs" was included in the priority update, YANBF and NDSForwarder might take a bit to update.

I'm on part 3.1 and there are no files on GAMECART. Its just empty and I can't find the .nds folder even though it is in the root of my SD card. What do I do? (Also I think I'm getting a bit confused, do I need to use 2 sd cards (1 with the custom firmware on 3ds and another for the flashcard) or not? Thanks.

EDIT: Ok, so I realized I made a mistake when downloading the 7z. file for my flashcard (Wrong file), but I still don't see anything on GAMECART and now there's no "_nds" folder on the flashcard's SD Card... I'm guessing I need help hehe

Hey, I formatted my ds cart (r4 sdhc) and followed the guide here using the forwarder only folder. My forwarders only boot to a white screen on both screens. Any idea whats going on? Do I need a boot menu on the r4?

The forwarders were created properly with auto rom path
