ROM Hack Monster Hunter Generation Ultimate [ MHGU ] DLC Injector

What is this app?
Simple App to inject your "MHGU Save" with DLC from a "CLEAN DLC Save" (CLEAN means having no character)
You can get clean save from Sonansune's thread titled [ Clean_MHGU_Save_with_Full_DLC_+_MHG_transfer_bonus ]

Who is this for?
Hunter with HR10++
Lower HR should've just use "CLEAN DLC Save"

Why use this?
People who are too far into the game would be crazy to start over just for DLC

Pre-Req: update the game to version 1.4

How to Use
1. Open Directory
2. Pick "CLEAN DLC Save" usually named system
3. Click "Select as DLC Save"
4. Pick "your Target MHGU Save" might work on MHXX saves but i can't guarantee
5. Click "Select as Target Save"
6. Click "Inject"

READ THE Console output for the details

Note if you have DLC and Target Save on different directory, you can change directory list anytime you need

It goes without saying that I do not take any responsibilities if your save are somehow gets corrupted along the way.... and that's why always.. always. always... keep back up of everything related to your original save... I'm the first guinea pig myself, are doing fine from HR 71 up till HR 165 after DLC injection..

If you've encountered any glitch or such unlucky behaviour however.. feel free to report the bugs to me in this thread... I'll check them ocasionally...

Mine somewhat worked.
The DLC quests are there, but all of them have no monsters at all and thus can't be played
Any solutions?

Care to explain
1. MHGU Game Version ( ie 1.4.0 )
2. switch firmware version
3. if you can provide your save data before injection, DM me for the analysis ( might take a while, i probably can do it on weekends )

I had a similar problem where no monsters were on the map, in addition the quest start chest was empty and I crashed after abandoning the quest (only tried once on "A Season For Lava"). I have attached my save data before the insert. I am not HR10+ but I did not want to lose the progress so far unfortunately this means I only have LR event quests. I also used the following file for the DLC save data (Item packs worked so I don't think this file is the issue). End of hyperlink is: threads/clean-mhgu-save-with-full-dlc-mhg-transfer-bonus.543438.

Also firmware is 12.0.1 and game version is US 1.0.0

I have tested some stuff my self and I dont think the problem is with the DLC injector. I created a character with the blank DLC save and it still has the same issues / crash. Just in case here is the crash message I get in Ryujinx console.

Sorry it took so long, for me to answer
I'm kinda drowned in the new game
It turns out your version is 1.0.0 which would definitely make the loading error
Both DLC Unlock & Clean Save only works in 1.4.0

you need to find nsp update for version 1.4.0 and install it to your emulator

Generally Clean Save would work if you go up version,
Like using 1.0.0 savegame to game version 1.4.0
But what you're trying to do is loading 1.4.0 savegame into 1.0.0 which leads to many errors

This sounds just like the kind of tool I need! I've been looking for something like this for my Monster Hunter games.

I'm hoping to find something similar for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Monster Hunter Generations and Monster Hunter Stories for the 3DS. If I can provide you two saves for each title, one being a clean save and the other being a clean save plus 'DLC', could you create a DLC injector tool for these as well?

Howdy, so I have everything I need but one thing to do this and its Ericjwg's clean save. The thread he posted either does not exist anymore or I can't see it for being a new member in the website. So I'm wondering if there is another way I could get my hands on it or if someone can check if its just the website making it hidden for me. Thanks for any help provided btw.

it would confuse anybody for MHXX case, because there is 2 MHXX
one is for 3DS, another one is for Switch,it might behave differently

MHGU on the other case, exist only on nintendo switch

This is NSP/Switch. The emulator is Ryujinx.

Not all Event Quest, Only up to version 1.4.0 (latest version on MHGU)
I think Japanese MHXX have up to version 1.5.1 & i have no idea what quest is in japanese language & i cant read japanese
you should check yourself which Event quest is available in the game, should be 7 pages on G Rank Event Quest
