SEGA reveals the full lineup of Mega Drive / Genesis Mini 2 and the European version

SEGA previously revealed some of the games that will be playable in Japanese Mega Drive Mini 2 or American Genesis Mini 2, but today trailers with full lineups were published together with the information that Mega Drive Mini 2 will be released in Europe with the same lineup as in Genesis Mini 2. Both lineups include cartridge Genesis/Mega Drive and Sega CD/Mega-CD games.

It was also confirmed that users will be able to switch the language of the console and some games. Lineup of both consoles together with the information which games in Japanese version include English language is compiled here.

what's truly cheap is the fact that sega has said there's only going to be around 10% of consoles that were manufactured for the original genesis/mega drive mini. and, to top it off, you have to preorder the American, probably the European as well, from Japan, so that's an added $20 to the overall cost. wtf, sega!?

Sega isn't doing too well rn.... however im still exited for fronters.

there's some sort of jet water game on maybe the 360 that I loved. you're in a speed boat, and you have to go through obstacle courses. kinda reminded me of burnout, but with boats. it was hilarious.

To be honest if American version has to be already bought through Amazon Japan, I think the best option is just buying the Japanese version - at least I believe it so much I won't cancel my Japanese pre-order nor I will get the second MD Mini, but from Europe. Japanese line-up is just stronger imo even if Popful and Lunar aren't available in English. The issue is that the games that replace not available titles in Western version were already re-released many many times - there are some exceptions, of course, like Warsong (Langrisser), but it is only one title, so I don't think it's worth buying Western MD Mini just for that.

I remember that, its prequel was also on N64, DC, and PS1.

hydro thunder hurricane is only for pc, but hydro thunder seems to work on the series x and xbone, so I just bought. it was $5 more for hydro thunder than the hurricane version. you're right, that's exactly what I was thinking of. I didn't know it was a prequel.

Eww, the lineup of games seems mediocre at best to me. Add on top of that the console's high price and you'll get a guaranteed stinker. I'd rather build my own emulation box with a Raspberry Pi 4

I guess I only care about shining force cd. I'm mainly getting it because it will be rare, same reason I'm getting the main collector's edition of god of war ragnarok in November. probably won't play either for a long while.

Getting stuff because it's rare is a bit silly, but meh. I already have Shining Force CD on my computer, so there's no need to shell out more cash for these things. Bad Sega

It's strange they neglected the PlayStation consoles after the first one. Hydro Thunder would've been a hit on PS2, PS3, and PS4.

For boat racing, it doesn't get any better than a Hydro Thunder game.

The PS1 version wasn't bad by any means, it's just way inferior to N64/DC.

Certainly has that "retro" look.

same with the trials games. I should check if the ones from the 360 work on the series x. I bought the two for the ps4, but the ps3 got nothing. those games are hilarious when you crash massively. haha

Given the limited amount and how much these things are going to be sold for by scalpers it will almost certainly be cheaper to buy a prebuilt MiSTer and those are pretty expensive.
